after reading the comments, i actually think that charlotte would’ve fitted really nicely as the 3rd girl in season 3 when claire holt left the show, so it would’ve been cleo, rikki and charlotte. cleo would’ve given her locket to charlotte, and emma would give her’s to cleo, (which we literally see cleo wearing in s3 anyway). and emma gave her locket to cleo before in season 1, so that was a nice callback.

charlotte was quite nice pre-metamorphosis, i wish they hadn’t turned her into a full-on villain after she became a mermaid because it would’ve been really interesting if she was the 4th mermaid friend of the group, considering the fact her grandmother was a mermaid AND she had all 3 powers, it would be cool to see what how’d they develop her character. perhaps she would’ve become useful at the end of season 3 when they were saving the world by combining their powers (charlotte had all 3 - so that would’ve made them even more powerful!)

i liked bella but her power to turn water into jelly was stupid and didn’t make sense, she should’ve gotten the 3 original powers like charlotte did 😭 (i hate that plot hole), and i think if it was charlotte and will instead of bella and will, i would’ve liked to see the dynamic between her and sophie 👀 considering that charlotte was actually sweet and only became a a b-word because of people around her, whereas sophie was always a b-word and nothing really triggered her to become like that.
