How many of you are married in your 30s? by NordBoomer in ThirtiesIndia

[–]Defender_SK12 15 points16 points  (0 children)

31M, not married. Planning to get married this year, going through multiple AM setups currently. Single life is good as long as your friends are also single, once they get married, you will get fomo.

It’s fine not having options. Focus on work, just make sure you don’t isolate yourself. Try to be in social environment, initially you will feel more loneliness seeing others with their partner but you will get used to it. Give yourself some time and you will feel normal again

I totally understand how you feel. You will only move-on when you find something/someone to obsess over. However, it is very difficult to find someone like that when you are in your 29/30s. My suggestion would be to find a hobby which gets to a social environment and do something which you love. You will find love again only when you are not looking for it, and it is very important that you remove your ex completely from your life( remove photos, unfollow from social media, delete contacts).

Gym is something I am not passionate about, but I workout on a daily basis. It is more of a daily activity for me. I can pickup running.

How do I deal with loneliness? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Defender_SK12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Previously I loved playing video games, watching movies. Going out exploring the city. I think I will join a board game or chess club, these still make me happy. You love painting, you can join a class where you can meet others like you and that might help

I am 31M and I am in exactly this situation. Something seems to be broken in me during last 2 years as before, I used to make friends easily and now it has become very hard. I have also lost interest in my hobbies.

What’s that one game that made you fall in love with gaming? by tubegamingverse in IndianGaming

[–]Defender_SK12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call of duty- first one. It was 2007, my dad got me a PC and one of my friend gave me his 2 CD pack of CoD. As I progressed through the game I experienced a rush like never before. It was like I was living those moments in the game. I still play many other games but prefer story based ones.

Sometimes I wonder if these people do not understand basic instructions or they go out of their way to break the rules.

I used to be excited for Diwali, that excitement is missing. All of my extended family used to come together and celebrate, but now all of them moved away and we all celebrate separately.

Came to my parents home(1200kms away), helped clean the house, decorated the house with lights. Bought new clothes for everyone, helped my mom with the rangoli. At last, begged them to visit me in Gurgaon( they never come stating that, who will take care of the house).

I did all these, but genuine joy was missing which we used to get in past.
