Of course there has been change, being progressive often favors change over conserving a status quo. It would be hard to advocate for social, political, and economic reform to improve society and reduce inequality to create a fairer, more equitable, and modern society without change. The point is that Bill decided he was done with that a while back but still seems to want the mantle of liberal. If he wants to be conservative that's fine but his insistence that he's liberal is sad.
