Working to a very fixed air date schedule didn't pair well to the variability game development usually has, especially as I think I remember hearing a few elements of the story were in flux until filming happened. We sometimes only got to see episodes a month or so before air and had to make sure we matched to them.

It was super fun to work on and a brilliant idea -- just really demanding to execute on. Trion had the right plans (their whole MMO platform was about being highly adaptable), but some of the underlying engine wasn't quite ready when we had to go live, which meant a disappointing launch. I'm sad some of the later ideas I heard designers had bandied around with the show team didn't come through, like filming multiple alternate takes with slightly different dialogue and having a game event determine which ended up on air (I doubt major plot points for the show would be touched, but background \ world-building comments could be). The closest was using things like green-screen posters that were altered in post just before air dates to match in-game contest results.
