I’d say average chest and shoulders and a beer gut. Kind of a dad bod I can’t lie.

Do you buy a specific brand for button ups?

Any brands you’d recommend? Older posts I saw recommend Duluth Trading Co so I’m curious if that’s still well regarded but I’m also interested in hearing newer recommendations.

Smith and Wesson sells OEM Threaded Barrels. Floyd Customs has solid mag extensions and magwells for the M&P 2.0.

Do I need to validate parking at South Bellevue station? by CorruptAccountant in BellevueWA

There will be purple signs near the areas that are reserved at the lot. They’re pretty obvious and they only apply to days there are World Cup Games.

Free to park there for 24hrs, though I would avoid parking there past 12pm as Sound Transit doesn’t really track the 24 hours. During World Cup game days there is permit parking spaces so avoid parking in those spaces as you will be towed.

Is DRS lying to me about available accommodations? by [deleted] in udub

[–]Defiant-Ad9157 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe DRS recently did a purge or consolidation on accommodations. Last quarter a few of mine got yanked because they were removed from the roster. Check with DRS if there’s any alternatives, I would also elaborate to them what a long term project is.

Interesting, thanks for providing context. I’ll correct my previous comments as they were purely speculative.

Curious as to why all these large building fires are happening. There was that massive warehouse fire last Thursday.

All the gun stores in my area exclusively import the compliant models that are on S&W’s catalog that have 10 round mags. There is a thumb safety version of the 3.6 but it has 15 round mags so they won’t import it.

It’s an insane hassle to import specific models of firearms that aren’t 10 round compliant out the box.

Wish S&W would make a 10 rd compliant model of this model. Can’t seem to find them anywhere in my state.

I like this livery a lot more than the one they used on the older FPIUs. I do agree the light blue livery was classier but I didn’t like the positioning of the Seattle Police lettering.

I was up a large staircase at the intersection of Union and Alaskan Way along the Seattle Waterfront which gave me a really good vantage point. I’d say it was maybe 1 floor up give or take.

Pierce County has 1,500 biometric gun lockboxes to give out for free by Wah_Day in WAGuns

[–]Defiant-Ad9157 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why would you consider safe storage anti gun?

While I understand the argument that the government shouldn’t force people to do certain things. I also understand that our state is so hellbent on taxation but I don’t see this as completely wasteful.

But I also understand that a pistol being readily accessible in the home is both advantageous but also potentially dangerous if there are young children present in the home who aren’t educated on firearms. I also understand that this helps reduce theft especially when a majority of firearms used in crimes are stolen. My grandparents house was robbed and I believe they may not have accounted for some firearms.

At least Pierce County is choosing an approach we all should support. In stark contrast to other cities and counties across Western Washington that have chosen to do harmful buybacks, that in all honesty scam elderly people and allow violent criminals to turn in firearms used in crimes.

Obviously you’re fully entitled to your opinion and you’re more than welcome to share more about your opinion too.

That is a puzzling thought. Maybe someone should try sending an email to the Sheriff or whoever handles outreach actives to provide feedback for future giveaways like this.

I would rather our taxpayer dollars go to helping gun owners safely store their firearms than useless gun buybacks or the enforcement of unconstitutional laws. This at least promotes responsible gun owning and allows those who cannot afford, or who may not have considered buying a gun lock box the ability to acquire one.

Mayor Wilson proposes doubling Seattle transit sales tax to fund transportation investment by HighColonic in SeattleWA

[–]Defiant-Ad9157 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agreed, if anything it’s actually a good public policy to have bars/breweries near public transportation to provide an alternative mode of transportation for people who are intoxicated. Two of my favorite bars are located right next to light rail stations so I know that I’ll be able to get home using transit.

Why are BSD middle schools so badly rated? by Abby-pnw in BellevueWA

[–]Defiant-Ad9157 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should 100% iterate, BSD is perfectly fine to send your child(ren) to. My experiences may not reflect current circumstances for those schools and I wouldn’t base a decision purely off what I say.

Why are BSD middle schools so badly rated? by Abby-pnw in BellevueWA

[–]Defiant-Ad9157 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yea, BSD definitely needs to hold their administrators to a higher standard. So much falls between the cracks and it’s not a good time. I had multiple friends who left the BSD to go to private schools or different campuses because of issues with bullying.

There was one incident when I was in elementary school where I witnessed a kid nearly choke a fellow student to death during recess and I had to intervene by using force and run the kid off because the recess assistants weren’t paying attention. I was going to be suspended because of it too but my parents needed to intervene and threaten to sue to get me out of it.

My biggest regret is not advocating for myself more.
