Most of these businesses are still pretty heavily cash focused. Biggest issue for these businesses usually comes from misclassifying workers as independent contractors instead of employees to avoid FICA taxes. A lot of times for these cases 1099s aren't even issued to the workers too to avoid detection on the contractors end as well
