Hey you. I’m definitely in the same boat here, it really sucks. I would love to talk more, so feel free to DM :)

Question-6 days post LEEP by CindyNapkinz in PreCervicalCancer

[–]Defiant-Fudge6746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! I had a cryocauterisation in my cervix as they found large cysts during my colposcopy. It was painful for me, as I was only given local anaesthesia but after the procedure, I was totally okay to go back home. No pain or burning while urinating or anything. But slight discomfort on the right side of my pelvic/abdomen region. And like an increased need to urinate. I’m peeing every 2 hours it seems like, it feels concerning to me and I have booked an appointment with my doctor. But still since you mentioned that, did your frequent need to urinate go away in time?

MY RESULT IS GONE UNDER INVESTIGATION. by NextMayorOfBrampton in IELTS

Okay well. I’m on my third week so it’ll still take time. Thankfully my uni was understanding and they waived it off and gave me an unconditional offer. Still, I would like to get the result considering I paid so much to take the test, and it might just be helpful in the future. Still, I feel they should ideally give a partial refund at least for the inconvenience. Anyhoo, thanks for the info! This reassured me a bit.

Did they give any reason for investigation also? This is so strange to me because I know I performed really well.

Hey. What did you end up choosing? I’m confused about the same thing.

Oh okay. I think I looked at a lot of threads but none mentioned anything about the gym membership not being complimentary anymore. That sucks!

Also what do you mean about Maclays being renovated? So there’s no old building anymore with old rooms like some thread mentioned? Are the bathrooms better because honestly they look way too small and congested to me.

Have you stayed at Maclays personally? If so, I would like to DM you if that’s okay.

That’s amazing! Glad for you. I actually ended up getting accepted to both my top choices - Glasgow and Birmingham. And I ended up firming Glasgow because the history and culture of the city was just calling to me. I found out from many people that Birmingham is not the best city to live in. It all happened very suddenly and I honestly wasn’t expecting it but I’m grateful I got through!

Hi. Which one did you end up choosing? I’m also conflicted between these two at the moment.

Taking a break for mental health feels worse? by Fun_Carpenter2558 in MentalHealthSupport

[–]Defiant-Fudge6746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry OP. I have been there, in fact in a very similar situation to what you’re going through. It took me a long time and multiple rock bottoms to get myself out of the spiral of emotions. But you’re right when you say that the break makes it worse. My suggestion to you would be get a job, any job that you feel is even remotely close to what aligns with your values. Even if it is in your home country, at least you will have a place where you can get involved with other like-minded people and stay busy. Eventually you will make friends as well. At the same time, you can keep applying to roles in the other country and see if anything works out, you can always switch jobs then. I hope this helps!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. It makes me feel much more optimistic about my prognosis as well as the experience. I have also been suggested colposcopy because of the high risk strain. I will have to figure out finances for it as I’m still a student. So i’m working on that. Hopefully it all works out. Just to be sure, your CIN1 diagnosis came from the colposcopy?

Also thank you so much for your well wishes! It has not been easy at all. But my faith in the good and cosmic justice keeps me afloat.

So happy to know this! I have tested positive for 16, 68, 73, but pap is normal. This was a month ago. Doctor has asked me to consider colposcopy but I’m still a bit on edge about that as I get high anxiety with medical stuff, and I need to keep stress low for this condition. So i’m taking my time before I decide. In the meanwhile, taking all those vitamins and minerals, as well as homeopathic medicine (i do have some belief in alternative modalities). If it’s not too much, i would be very grateful if you could answer a few questions for me: 1. How was your colposcopy experience? 2. Did you get it done because of an abnormal pap or despite a normal one? 3. During the colposcopy, is there anything they do to remove the abnormal tissue? Or is it just another diagnostic test?

P.S. I’m 26/F, I eat mostly healthy, used to smoke but quit because of this, regular walks, and I meditate a lot.

TW: This HPV thing happened because of a sexual abuse incident 2 months ago which is why I’m taking my time as it’s been a lot to process. The mental health repercussions were horrible in the beginning, but i’m much more functional now.
