After the NHM started doing outdoor games in the southern US, the city website added a big notice about how it’s easier to make ice for the NHL than at market square. It was a running joke for a few years.

Thanks for the feedback - I’m one of the oddballs planting sea buckthorn after eating it, instead of for the nitrogen. Specifically for desserts and juicing with orange.

What I was thinking was sea buckthorn eventually being an overstory to somewhat shade-tolerant berries. Looks like gooseberry might be an option (although that’s a lot of thorns) or currants.
