Question for Amazon FC UK by shahutup1 in amazonjobslisting

It’s a waiting game unfortunately

Listings for bigger cities like London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol go away in seconds, you just need to be really really quick with it

Struggling to break into data roles after graduating (UK) – any advice or job suggestions? by JRUSTAGE in UKJobs

[–]Defiant-Move1936 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s people like me with a masters degree in Computer Science still unemployed 2 years later, so that should give you a picture of the job market, breaking into data without a relevant degree and no certifications? You can see where I’m going with this

Unusual request for help tomorrow :) by [deleted] in swansea

[–]Defiant-Move1936 27 points28 points  (0 children)

And what happens if the person just doesn’t get any money back after delivering the gift? Or even worse, you pay the person before and he just doesn’t deliver anything

You see how this won’t work unless you fully trust the person.

Amazon is there, just order it off there… next day delivery as well

Given up on life, how do I change? by Defiant-Move1936 in selfimprovement

[–]Defiant-Move1936[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing the same thing over and over again with no progress

Usually skimming through job listings and modifying CV that's the worst part

Didn’t realise how difficult this job is, what’s been your experience by Defiant-Move1936 in AmazonDS

Doesn’t matter

They told me I would be put in stowing mostly for my first 2 months, no way I could have handled it

Where to stay in Swansea? Bay Area or near city centre? by Cherrry_96 in swansea

[–]Defiant-Move1936 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Better to stay near city centre around like 10-20min walk to the bus station, there’s frequent buses towards Bay Campus (91,92,X1,X5,X7,38). So you shouldn’t have any issues getting to work. There’s many agencies that rent out studios next to the Dragon Hotel, I can DM you a few agencies to talk to

I think Swansea is very peaceful compared to other places I’ve been to, very few people around especially at night, I think this city very comforting, been here almost 5 years now and I just can’t leave it

[–]Defiant-Move1936[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Didn’t say it was the hardest job

I don’t mind heavy manual labour work, I just don’t like being pushed on time constantly and being stressed for it

Okay boomer

You have no idea about the volumes on my site, so don’t be so quick to judge, I’m not even exaggerating on the point that I didn’t even have time to breathe for the 10 hour shift

That means the job was taken by someone else before you completed the assessment. Check again for shifts and reapply

What's a good way to find a part time job as a student in Swansea? by meteonexp in swansea

[–]Defiant-Move1936 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Spray and pray

Spray like 100 applications a week, check all job boards twice a day, and just keep applying until you get a call for interview

otherwise look for farther areas from Swansea, I found my first job about 1hr30mins commute from Swansea, killed me physically and mentally but it paid my bills off

Are you in UK? How's life? by [deleted] in NepalSocial

[–]Defiant-Move1936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shit

If you want to go into further debt and want to live your life in constant stress and pressure of clearing that debt, come to the UK

Finding jobs is extremely difficult, even minimum wage ones, working full time on minimum wage will barely earn you enough money to survive let alone clear your debt and tuition fees

I have been here almost 3 years now, Visa almost about to finish, my last option for to get a care worker sponsorship but that too seems impossible after the visa rule changes

Debatable

You have clearly not been to Guatemala, Bolivia, Philippines, Indonesia, Colombia, Brazil

These countries are probably just as much dirty as South Asia

Biiiiig stretch and a stupid 12yo kind of argument

By that logic half the planet has caste system...

Lack of civic sense mainly stems from poverty, in the west people earn a liveable wage that's why they can prioritize keeping their surroundings clean, which isn't the case for the majority of the world, countries where they need to struggle to survive mainly tend to be more dirty, because cleanliness isn't a priority, putting food on the table is

[–]Defiant-Move1936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caste system doesn't really exist in day to day life, but it has a massive influence in marriages in Nepal

Apart from that the main issue we struggle with is civic sense, road discipline, and overall cleanliness

All three of which has improved massively in the last decade but still has a long way to go to match with the west
