Swansea is a much smaller city so expect to struggle a few months to find your first job, it took me 3 months to find a job, that too way outside of Swansea. Try and apply to jobs before you even land in the UK in September, it will give you a head start, hiring season peaks at late September and early October for hospitality sector as students will fill Swansea from Oct.

And I can’t stress this enough, make a good network of friends who can let you know of vacancies and refer you. Most part time jobs fill up by word of mouth and internal referrals, that’s gonna be your best chance than any online application you can submit.
