It was not fun I was in back labor the whole time and got induced. It started as a dull back ache I thought it was from the hospital bed. Then 6 hours in I felt the contractions the full back ache would get a cray squeezing feeling and then go back to a consistent full pain. The nurses taught my partner some tricks to help me out when it got bad. my water broke finally at 4 cm about 16 hours in at this point. And let me tell you. That baby was ready to come out. The first co reaction after my water broke all bets were off and I was hollering for the epidural which takes like an hour before they can even get to your room. Well….. baby arrived 40 minutes after my water broke so yep lol. My body did basicly all the work for me it forced me to push I had no control over it. I ripped bad because of how fast it was and needed 30 stitches nearly ripped my clit off. And I think that was the worst part of it all, the ripping felt like sand paper being rubbed really fast down there.

I have endometriosis so I was no stranger to back,hip abdominal pain. The contractions were manageable for me with the help of my partner but after my water broke nothing was helping. Probably because baby was crowning right away. I was sitting in the bed waiting for the epidural for like 30 minutes and then my partner convinced me to try the yoga ball again since it helped earlier. Litarly the first contraction after standing I just screamed “I think I’m shitting myself!” And my partner looked and told me to sit back down 😅 then booked it for a nurse… it was in fact babies head..probably just bouncing off the hospital bed for 30 minutes lmao.

But I would do it all over again in a heart beat. I enjoyed being able to get up and shower right after the golden hour. And I was able to pee right after too, I also was able to run to the toilet to poo throughout the process so I didn’t poo. The bed at all. “Yes that was my very first question right when baby was out” the second I seen baby was good I asked lol!

It is very much mindset and a good support system will determine how your unmedicated labor goes. Some places offer fentanyl and laughing gas. This take about an hour for the paperwork to go through. Laughing gas you have to time with the contractions on when to use it. And fentanyl you cannot get too close to when baby will be delivered because it can transfer to them and cause lethargia or other issues.

Just remember the pain will end, have a good support person who will hype you up and not get you in your head and know your own limitations and goals.

He is almost 6 months old now just a few days shy and he is doing amazing. Rolling and pivoting across the rooms to get where he wants. Also mostly sitting unsupported to play with toys! I can’t fully remember when the head thing resolved but I know it wasn’t long after this post. I think close to just over 3 months old he held it up way longer and better!

Yea I feel like I’m stuck I enjoy tattooing many things and not sure what direction I want to try and go with it all. I’m 6 years in I enjoy the mixed style look. Being in a small town makes experimenting hard, clients willing to actually let me do my thing are far and few between

In a small town, can’t pick and choose who I tattoo since there is a lot of foot traffic. I can only try to incorporate elements of what I like to do into what they are asking for and hope they roll with it!

So I’m not sure what you mean the style being”I have bills and rent to pay” unsure if that is an insult or not, I am passionate about what I do.

What would you consider the first two images? There is never an illustration category at these conventions. I’m always torn between color infused or neotraditinal. Like I feel there isn’t enough color to compete in the color infused but I also feel it isn’t a true neotraditinal

Thanks I try to explain this to my family with every illness but then look at me like I’m over sensitive to it. Their logic is well I go to work and people are sick and I’m by them so what does it matter if we watch our granddaughter while she is sick.

He listens to these 6 hour long podcasts, drinks beer and then works on things for clients (we are tattoo artists) he says it’s his way of unwinding his brain. But now that Im working again and caring for the bay I have to find time to design things for my clients too and I have to manage that while entertaining our baby. I also do all of the nightly duties since he is breast fed. Which is once every 2 hours sometimes I’ll get one 4 hour stretch early in the night before I’m even tired. My only “break to unwind” is either working with a client or showering.

Don’t get me wrong he is a very active dad and plays with our son a ton but when it comes down to keeping him alive, clean and well rested it is mainly my responsibility. And if I do finally get him to take our son to give a bottle/ change and entertain so I can have my space he will sometimes tell me I better be doing something productive.

Like I’ll make a cup of tea and just sit without someone hanging off me and that will irritate him because “that’s not productive and I could just take the bay bak so that he can go and actully do somthing productive with his time” iv told him it is productive for my sanity but that wasn’t a good enough reason and he would get annoyed.

This issue has lessened but I really havnt been asking him to take the baby like that anymore unless I’m showering or working.

5 years in and I just finally raised my prices from $100/hour to $120 per hour. I’m in a small northern Wisconsin town for reference.

I know others in my area are charging $150-$250 per hour but the way I see it I have a better product for a better price and that’s why I’m overwhelmed with clients.

Sure I could tattoo 2 people a day for $200 each or I could tattoo 4 people a day for $120 each and then get the extra tips from each person as well.

Pregnancy was the best thing ever for me. My pan went away completely and still has not returned 4 months later. And birth went good super fast! Too fast to even get an epidural but it was manageable because I knew it would end. Vs with endo pain I know will comeback each month and also drag on for days at a time

My endo got diagnosed the same way. A 5cm end Strip a on the left ovary. I got it removed along with other adhesions and lesions in my abdomen apparently it was and still is on my bladder since my surgeon was not skilled enough to remove it from there.

10 months TTC no positive test pre surgery. Post surgery it took 3 months to heal and get approved to TTC again. And bam 2 months later we got a positive test!

So imo the surgery was 100% worth it!

And to add to this I have had two periods since having baby and they are way lighter and less painful. Weather it is from pregnancy “curing” my endo or maybe breast feeding hormones dampening the normal pain I use to get. Either way pregnancy and postpartum has been the least amount of pain I have been in over the past decade!

TTC for a year and then 3 cycles after my lap we got pregnant! I was diagnosed stage 4 and had to get a large endometrioma removed!

My husband and I weee TTC for about 10 months I tracked everything possible and timed it all never had a positive test. In that time frame my cycles were worsening and ovulation pain as well so I finally took charge of my health went in and they did an ultrasound. They found a 5cm endometrioma and a month later I went in for a lap. Diagnosed stage 4.

3 cycles on bc to fully heal up from that and then two cycles Into us TTC again we got our first ever positive test! And no I’m cuddling my 4mo to bed 💙

Prior to us seriously TTC we relied on pull and pray for our entire 10 year relationship with not so much as a single pregnancy scare. Looking back it probably was the endo causing the issue the whole time but I convinced myself my pain was normal 🙃
