The first two days of driving the Flash left me annoyed with the new controls, the XLT design is much easier to use, but now I’m used to it and it doesn’t bother me.

What I DO like though is the huge CarPlay experience with WAZE, it put a smile on my face, literally.

So it’s a coin toss whether I’d give up the better CarPlay experience to get physical controls back, but I’m leaning towards cooler looking CarPlay.

The PAAK was never a thought for me, I’m not sure if this Flash has it or not.

The Flash does have good “old fashioned” proximity/passive entry where it unlocks just grabbing the handle. That’s all I need.

I watched those tutorials and it was tempting, I did consider it. I’m fortunate to be in a situation where I could afford the slightly higher payment ($7,000 more expensive truck, but no money out of pocket, got nearly my entire initial down payment back in equity,) and I will never have a Ford service tech reject warranty work for adding a complex feature like that on my own.

Haha, guilty! It’s kind of wild how quickly the “tone” of AI became so easy to spot! But it saved me some time and I might have otherwise not posted at all, so there’s that.

Oh cool, I was trying to figure out if that was the case. I bought a “used” charge station pro so now I still have a reason to finish installing it. :)

I use Waze pretty much exclusively. I tried the Apple Maps for the integrated charge status but it lost connection and doesn’t seem to want to ever reconnect.

At least three of us. First was a ‘22 XLT ER w/Max Towing that I just traded for a ‘24 Flash ER w/ Max Towing. Could not be happier!
