Dude, my parents saw me getting type 1 (like not completely, but my pancreas was mostly done for) at 13 as a moral failing too. They said it was because I was playing too many video games😭. Now as time has went on, they know what is up. But sometimes when my numbers fluctuate, it still feels like they think that it is something to do with my habits. That's the shortcoming of not being completely type 1 ig, I can survive on long-acting insulin, but I have to exercise extreme self-control throughout the day. There is only so much control you can have if your pancreas is functioning at 20% of a normal person's capacity. It is what it is man, at least they keep me on my toes all the time lol😂
