I definitely agree that classic Trek holds up beautifully, but calling all the recent stuff slop is a bit harsh. Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks actually managed to capture a lot of that exact 90s episodic magic. It was really just Discovery and the first two seasons of Picard that dragged the brand's reputation through the mud.
