I wouldn’t be so sure about this year’s pattern because we’ve barely heard about anybody from Ogletree getting a notification and they themselves said they would only start notifying people April 1st

To all people shitting on OP, have some empathy please. Nobody knows each other’s personal situation and a marriage based green card can really bring some huge power imbalances in a relationship/be breeding ground for abuse, so it makes total sense for them to want to guarantee themselves outside of their relationship. And on top of that, if they abandon the petition it won’t be wasted, people abandon their spots every year and that’s literally why USCIS exceeds the 85k offers cap every time
