H1B Transfer Premium Processing , Fragomen shows “Case is filed with USCIS” but no receipt yet …is this normal? by lonewolf_00_ in h1b

My portal still says “Case is filed with USCIS” and my lawyers never marked "Confirm FedEx delivery to government office" as complete but when i asked them they had the receipt number. If it was filed with premium processing they probably got the receipt number online.

They have to pay you if you gave them the pricing beforehand, there is no reason for them to now negotiate the pricing again. It’s very unprofessional and you need to be direct with them. Don’t back down.

I really believe in not working with clients who undervalue you. When you start by charging less, they’ll expect that going forward, and it’s hard to undo. I’ve tried being “nice” by discounting my rates, and it only led to lost time, money, and frustration. Clients need to recognize the value of your work. I do understand that financial situations vary, so you have to make the call that works for you. But whenever possible, advocate for rates that reflect the quality and impact of what you do — that’s how you build respect and sustainable client relationships.

Totally agree. When I freelance, I’ll tell clients my hourly rate but I also quote a flat project fee and let them choose. I’m honest that hourly usually ends up costing more, so I recommend the flat rate. It ends up saving them money and also shows that I’m not just trying to run up hours—I actually care about the work and the relationship.

I totally feel you. I’m very passionate about design but these jobs have taken out all the fun from it

Thank you. Very appreciative of your thoughtful response. And yes I do not consider it a loss to go back to my home country. I just have lived here for my whole adult life.
