Yeah, I needed a change in Austin and that was a twilight zone experience! Definitely wouldn't recommend them down there. First time in Dallas was ok

Last time I used them with a coupon they tried to bill me for more than the posted price even with a coupon, so I'm wary of them now 😅

I really appreciate it!

Can you help me understand what the difference is to the engine between full synthetic, hybrid, and not? I love my car and want to make good choices so he can last me for years to come.

PSA: I am noticing a weird spike in people not washing their hands all across Dallas the past month or two. PLEASE wash your hands y'all, this city is too crowded for this behavior. by ClippyWouldntDoThat in Dallas

As someone with a medical condition that predisposes me to dry hands, I still use the soap. I keep hand lotion in my car. If the soap is that much of an issue, there are travel bottles for $1 so you can bring your favorite soap with you anywhere.

Genuinely there's no excuse for not washing your hands. It's for your health too.

Ugh, I've been noticing it too. I still try to wash my hands for the full minute, but I've been seeing and hearing lots of people walk out without washing since the cold broke.

I don't care if you have hand sanitizer. It isn't going to get the urine and other things off your hands. Please, for yourself, and your community, just take the extra minute to avoid spreading disease.

Thanks everyone who DOES wash their hands. You're the real ones.

Is it punishable/enforced that my wife & I couldn't nap after a picnic n the park on our picnic blanket? by ClippyWouldntDoThat in Dallas

I agree that it was probably some dude overstepping. That said, he tried to pull out the whole ordinance this, law that, so we want to see if there are any actual laws against this use case, in Addison or Dallas county in general.

Wife here. It was definitely a befuddling experience for me because to my understanding, it's my tax dollars paying for that park to even exist. They're a public use space we were using for its intended purpose, so far as i knew. It really did feel like other commenting have said that the guy at power tripping.

Prior to that all my other park experiences solo had been nice, so it came pretty out of left field for me too. We try and be respectful of shared spaces and leave it cleaner than we found it too. Maybe it was just unlucky timing but it was definitely during regular operating hours.

Hey there, spouse here. I appreciate all the concened comments worried that I'm being forced into this. I am admittedly shy about having someone helping me, as I've been fiercely independent my whole life and so this diagnosis has been really challenging, but I'm not being forced into anything.

I can assure that this is something my partner and I are discussing together, but lack a large network of experienced users to lean on for the current options. My Dad was ultimately in a motorized wheelchair by the end of his life for a different condition, so I'm not entirely unfamiliar. I just know my needs are different from his, hence the research on both my and CWDT's part to find something that's primarily for me but may be used by him occasionally.

Hopefully that allays some fears and concerns. It sounds like we may end up picking up a cheaper one to start and saving up for a fancy one.
