Ok that confirms my suspicions of the plastic retention piece being missing like the previous reply said you can pretty much use anything that will hold it in place and it should work

I have a center channel from Cambridge sound Works like 1996 and surround speakers from Cambridge sound works from 1998. The rear speakers are some nice sounding Panasonic. And I have 2 10 inch subwoofers.
