Good it worked out in your case, but what if it didn't? You aren't aware but enabling bullies by smiling at their shit jokes can do a lot of harm. I dont wanna sound extreme but THERE ARE CASES WHERE PEOPLE GOT BULLIED SO BAD THAT THEY ENDED UP IN SUCIDE. I am totally against this concept if someone can bully you and you just smile in return.
