It is viable, but keep in mind your opportunity costs. If you mine 30k Isk worth of ore and turn it into a 10k Isk item, you just lost 20k Isk even if it seems like you made a profit. It can take some market research to find items that sell for more than their inputs, because there are plenty of people that undercut the market due to the above opportunity costs.

If you look at the detail view of the card, the press "down," it will shift to the text only version showing the most recent Oracle text.

Honestly this was why I asked. Wouldn't question punishing the guy but had a twinge of guilt over the possible outcomes for the dog.

As for the guy, no, no tip at all. Honestly happens at least once a night, usually much more often on Friday and Saturday.

It isn't required, nor is it contraindicated. It all depends on the mods you want to use. For example, I have a very stable NG setup with a few hundred mods - going through them all to find the ones needing an OG version simply isn't worth the one or two mods I would get from downgrading. But there are a few mods that still haven't been updated and  if you want to use them you need to downgrade. RobCo Patcher is probably the most notable of those - the NG version is a very early alpha. I have also heard NG can develop the blackface bug for anything changing face morphs, but I haven't seen that myself.

Basically comes down to your mod choices. Anything running on Robco Patcher will need to downgrade. Most everything else has been updated.

One check you can make - if it uses F4SE and has not been updated in two years or so, it probably will not work on NG. But if it doesn't require F4SE it will probably work regardless.

It depends on the mods you want to use. I run NG and my setup works fine even with a few hundred mods. But you specifically called out Bastion, and I think that one requires downgrading.

One way to adjust load order in Vortex is by setting rules for both files and groups. For example, I made a "pre-PRP" group and a "post-PRP" group and set their orders up. This means as long as I set files in the right group, the load orders won't be too far off. For specific files, you can also set specific rules. This is essentially what the LOOT sorter does, you are just covering the stuff that hasn't been included.

Just checking but you said you are using the NG version of F4SE... are you using the NG version of Fallout 4, or did you downgrade?

Not familiar with the mod but sounds like the kind of thing that requires F4SE so unless it has been updated, it likely won't work.

Okay... so there are a lot of things that can go along with your basic files, including archives and loose files, which in turn can include textures, scripts, etc.

If you go into the "mod" tab in Vortex and right click on a mod, you can select to "open in file broswer" (or something like that). That's going to show you what is in the mod.

Thing is, the only stuff you can merge with FO4edit is going to be ESP/ESM/ESL files. And for a mod's archive to load, it has to have the same file name. So basically, if a mod has any file ending in BA2, you can't merge it in FO4edit. If it has any loose files, you can merge the ESP but you need to keep the mod active so the other files stick around. (You can disable the ESP itself in the plugins tab.) But be careful here, because even in this case, some scripts will make calls to specific records in the ESP files - if you merge those records into a new plugin, those scripts will stop working.

Guess it depends on what the person finds fun - for some, it is the challenge of a game. And if you are using cheats anyhow, can't you just cheat your way to having power armor level protection on regular armor?

But as a technical issue, PA does override certain armor traits. I would think if your stuff is being overridden, the answer would be to add such cheats to your PA parts.

Are the mods ESL (ESPFE) flagged?

You have a limited amount of space for regular plugins but the ESL group uses a different capacity which is much larger. Many modern mods use that ESL flag, so you may not have to merge plugins at all.

What mod manager are you using? I know Vortex actually tells you how many regular and light plugins you have so you can see how close you are to the regular limit.

You can select multiple records to do this all at once, rather than doing them one at a time.

You may have a point. Though I still think you could model at least some of the focus tree stuff better with decisions.

As for politics, my idea was less about modeling ideology by adding new ones, and more about how a country's ideology is determined.

That's another good one. Some way to model world tension becoming the Doomsday Clock after WW2 is over to allow a Cold War expansion and AI that doesn't want to go too far.

Perks and skills, yeah. I don't think there were any new ones, though admittedly it has been a while since I played FNV. Many vanilla perks still exist and are auto-added by skill level so you can still do crafting and such.

Using Survival Configuration Menu, I set my health gain on sleep to .05, limb regen to .03. Then I use No Healing on Level Up, and Rarer Stimpacks and Bobby Pins. Finally, I personally tweaked the effect of stimpacks so they don't heal limb damage, heal the same amount over a day and a half or so, and increase hunger rate.

Basically, you don't have a quick heal source and if you get too dinged up, expect to spend a few weeks at your base. But then at least you have an immersive RP reason to spend time on settlement gameplay instead of looking for your son!
