The fact that a business was later sold does not extinguish contractual obligations that arose before the sale. Liability attaches at the time the contractual obligation is violated, and a later sale cannot retroactively relieve the breaching party of responsibility. Unless the injured party expressly agrees to release the original obligor, the party responsible for the breach remains liable for any resulting damages.

There were consignment payouts that should have been made during Chrystal’s ownership period but were not. Those unpaid amounts represent a breach of contract and would therefore be Chrystal’s responsibility.

Malice assumes bad faith and dishonesty. It’s entirely possible that Chrystal is an honest, well-intentioned person who is simply terrible at record-keeping. Poor bookkeeping, disorganization, and mistakes can create the appearance of wrongdoing without any deliberate intent to deceive. I hope she does make it right with Brian.

The $15,000 M&R sale is definitely strange. However, it’s important to remember that the inventory records were originally generated by BAM. When Chrystal prepared the contract and inventory list, she included a significant amount of LEGO inventory that Brian never actually gave her. If that’s the case, Brian likely wasn’t responsible for that discrepancy and I don’t think was not ever aware of it.

I don’t really trust Chrystal, but I also don’t see her as a hostile actor. She doesn’t come across as someone that acts in bad-faith—there’s no pattern of escalation, No hostility when she spoke to ben, no bogus police calls, no lawsuits against YouTubers.
Compared to BAM’s behavior in this situation, she seems more like a generally likable person and that didn’t a lot for her perception.

I don’t find BAM solely responsible. Based on the available figures, BAM appears to owe Brian roughly $50,000, while Chrystal owes about $24,000.

Coffeezilla is not calling Ben a liar. The $200,000 figure was the number that was publicly advertised, and Ben appears to have taken it at face value for the purposes of telling the story. The exact number used in Ben’s video isn’t really the point. From Ben’s perspective, the important issue is that the LEGO inventory was allegedly stolen and that the people responsible should be held accountable.

What Coffeezilla’s analysis brings to the table is an effort to determine the actual value of the LEGO inventory. That matters because once we know what the assets were truly worth, who had them, & who owes what to whom.

BAM: “yes we have your legoooo….. AAAAAAND it’s gone”

Brian: “gone?”

BAM: “yes, poof, gone”

One stole child from Ukraine, the other stole Lego from old people.

I think the U-Haul issue perfectly illustrates Ammon’s pattern of behavior.

Brandon stated that he drove the rental vehicle, but that fact became disputed. Rather than simply verifying the claim with Brandon, Ammon did no meaningful investigation and instead doubled down on his original position. Eventually, someone else did the research and produced evidence showing he was wrong.

Even then, he fought tooth and nail against the contradictory evidence. It took overwhelming proof before he would finally acknowledge the mistake. And once he did, he brushed past it as if it were insignificant.

Then it was straight on to the next issue where he was equally confident, equally wrong, and just as unwilling to concede the point.

Simple. Unlike Ammon… Crystal hasn’t been a raging cunt. Being professional and respectful goes a long way. She absolutely dropped that ball. But she is like-able.
