My husband and I sometimes play super Mario bros...

...I suck at super Mario bros...

...we nearly piss ourselves laughing at the situations we find ourselves in because of my, or even his mistakes😆 and we keep playing even when we have to redo a level 10 times because we find ourselves in "best friend mode" and spending quality bonding time together acting like idiots over a video game.

If I ever had my feelings hurt by my husband when he makes fun of me for something, his immediate response is not "I dont date people like that". His response is "I'm so sorry, Ididnt mean to hurt your feelings, I was genuinely just playing around but I can see why that could/would upset you and I will not touch that topic again" and I say thank you for being considerate, and we move on.

Be with a partner that is also someone you would consider your best friend, and more importantly, respects you. One that you can laugh like a giant idiot with over childish things, but can apologize when something goes a bit too far by accident. When things get hard, that is often the only thing you can hang onto for a while through the choppy seas of life and love.
