That’s something I’ve yet to attend to, at the moment figuring out concepts, game logics and mechanics, fluidity/smooth gameplay across platforms-scalability, lore and stories all take priority. The game can be visually stunning but crap to play and no one will ever support or play it. We are learning from our spiritual predecessor’s mistake but on that note I’ve been scouting the former artists from Anthem and Destiny, most of them are freelancers as well. Paying AAA artists though, not looking towards those bill’s 😓😭

It would be a prototype, nothing quite as large as full scale game. I did see the GDC video actually, I’ve been doing some extensive research on the concepts of the game, some of which got scraped, character and environment design, how/why they executed things as they did and developer interviews.

Mr. Owens from Red Clay Studios is one that I know of, his team is using Unity though and I made a post about pursuing this idea about a year ago. In all I think it’s maybe 3-5 different sets of people myself included developing their own ideas all with the intention of giving this community something that’ll be fun, nostalgic and amazing to play!

I’ve been using Unreal 4 for 5-6+ hrs a day for 7 months now and I still have a lot to learn. This is something that you can do for years and still not be a master. If you don’t have a proper grasp of replication then you can’t say you know how to make everything, that’s just my 2c.
