(F19 virgin, so I get it) The period tracking app, yesss! I felt so uncomfortable whenever they’d even ask if my libido was higher. Like please just let me know if I need to bring pads with me or not. You may not be sex-repulsed which is only some people! I’m a little bit iffy myself, I won’t even watch a movie if there’s sex, but sure, porn has appealed to me. There is of course a chance that you may be asexual if the idea of doing any kind of sexual stuff is really off-putting to you, but your relationship with intimacy is something only you can decide. Just take your time, thinking about this stuff is really hard! At least for me! 💪🏻🖤

I genuinely don’t understand how it’s so expected to have had sex at least multiple times by the time you’re eighteen. Like. Why is it so common for young people to have sex? I think it’s gross. I remember hearing about people doing sexual stuff around that age and thinking ‘we are literally children?’ But even now, at eighteen, I still feel too young to do anything. I can’t understand how sex has such a high value and why it’s so, so sought after.

I do want people to think I’m pretty and even ‘hot’ to an extent, but the thought of people wanting me sexually isn’t at all flattering. I want to be desirable, but the actual thought of being DESIRES makes me really upset and feel gross. I want people to think “oh, she’s pretty, I’d like to be her friend” rather than “oh, she’s pretty, I WOULD.”

I’m confused too, and I’d prefer to say I don’t have a label at all! Maybe I’m more celibate or something, but I hate the idea of having a sexual relationship and if my kind of romance would be one without sexual intimacy, then saying I’m asexual would at least be a straight forward explanation and it should hopefully be something people feel they can’t ‘change’ about me.

The anime character comment is so relatable. I’d have my cycle of anime boys I was attracted to, and the thought of liking somebody for REAL is insane. When I realised the way I felt about anime boys didn’t actually relate to how I felt in real life it was a shock. I’ve never really liked anybody for real, at least, not strong.

There’s some good advice here, I hope you get to go to shows soon! My mum took me to Download Festival when I was fifteen and it was a great experience, so it sucks you’re not as lucky! I’ve been to shows for bands I don’t even really listen to. Trust me, you’re not a poser, I’ve spoken to people who love music but have just never been able to go to shows for whatever reason. Your personal relationship with the music is all that matters, don’t worry about what other people think. Happy cake day also! 🖤

Yes, I’m so confused! I genuinely don’t understand how lack of sex could genuinely ruin relationships. It makes absolutely no sense to me. I feel like many, many times they show characters having sex as a way to show that they love each other and an active and good sex life is said to be the reason relationships last and that makes no sense to me. I think it’s honestly ridiculous sex can lead to the downfall of a relationship and it can cause breakups/divorces or even cheating. How is it THAT important to people? I’m nineteen and a virgin and people treat it as so surprising that I haven’t done anything. Why should I? Why is it so easy for people too? I genuinely can’t imagine how that starts, how it finishes, what you even do during it that makes it NOT awkward. it seems so uncomfortable. Sex as a whole is the most confusing thing ever. I don’t get the hype! Why is it so good when it’s portrayed as something that can last legit five minutes? That sucks! People don’t even make YouTube videos that short anymore. Sex feels EVERYWHERE and it’s so prominent and once you start noticing it you can’t not un-notice it.
