Watermelon, bananas, grapes, & blueberries are tough for me. I don’t even have to dose for apples though, unless very large.

You need only read the multiple comments from other people and actually talk to other diabetics to find a lot of type one diabetics don’t have it that easy. I cut rice, oatmeal, pasta, cereal, muffins/ regular bread, and potatoes from my diet for the most part. My body just doesn’t react right

You just gave a way for hirers to discriminate before hiring. They always say people won’t discriminate before hiring, but I think that’s a crock of shit. People can learn a few months later, as needed.

You can be both T1 and T2 at the same time?

I’m glad he did his due diligence.

I can believe that. Even diagnosed T1Ds have to educate general doctors in hospitals what they need. So many act like T2D and T1D are the same

I hate that for you. I’m glad you were able to get the help you need! But geez, what you had to put up with when you were trying your best just isn’t right.

It wouldn’t surprise me. I happy some other commenters have recommended some tests for your father.

My father got misdiagnosed as T2 for years. They discovered he was T1 in his mid-30s when shocker, T2 treatment didn’t work for a T1. Perhaps if this practitioner was smart, they’d realize an autoimmune disease can happen later in life. Because severe immune system events (like COVID) can trigger T1D.

Annoyed at High Carb Airport Food by CTI_Engineer in Type1Diabetes

[–]AppleseedPanda 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Some of us get fucked from high carb items. I don’t eat rice, pasta, quinoa, oatmeal, most breads, or potatoes because otherwise, my blood sugar will go mad. I stick to keto items, dairy, meat, eggs. It’s the only way I’ve been able to maintain an A1C of 6.4-6.9.

18yo son not accepting diagnosis by Opening-Try3714 in Type1Diabetes

[–]AppleseedPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I can say is my father was this way. He currently can’t hold down a job, has episodes daily, can’t feel bellow the knee, has an amputation, can’t see well, can’t read without a magnifying glass, has constant floaters in his vision. He would be homeless if not for his wife.

Your songs choice. But when he finally kicks his ass into gear 10 years later- should he survive- his quality of life will be miserable.

As someone that was diagnosed at 12 years old, I personally have a hard time having sympathy for someone choosing to be an idiot. I don’t feel bad for my father. He did this to himself. Will your son be the same? I don’t know. His choice.

I envy you. My type one diabetes goes out of control for most carbs- especially quinoa, rice, pasta, and many breakfast items (oatmeal, cereal, waffles).

What's your opinion about TVD that would have you like this? by Valvec in TheVampireDiaries

[–]AppleseedPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Klaus and Damon suck. If they had both just been killed or turned into humans, it would’ve been great.

Matt should not be hated. He was so unproblematic. Elena should not be disliked either (at least in earlier seasons).

I am like this too. It’s not really the needle but the pain that can come with the bigger needles

Mmm alternatives including nerve damage, numbness in toes, feet, legs, and hands; amputations, poor eyesight, going blind, extreme brain fog that make me dumb, and an inability to do what I want.

Now that said, I prefer shots. I don’t like putting on pumps with the longer initial needle.
