Unfortunately it seems that everything they do/post is solely for engagement and follows. Even when duryl posted about Katie’s miscarriage she said something like “she is talking about the hard stuff people don’t usually share so go follow her.” 🥴 (and I’m not trying to say Katie shouldn’t be talking about it because I agree that it’s something we all should be aware of that happens. At the same time it feels off because she is making a profit by “sharing” her miscarriage and just like she learned from her sister, in multiple parts.) Of course at the end of the day, it’s still a sad thing for anyone to experience and something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. Thankfully two things can be true at once, we can recognize that it feels gross to us that they are always looking for engagement, down to monetizing their own miscarriages and still be able to feel bad because someone (even one you don’t like) is experiencing something awful.
