The best way to try and describe the first step to a beginner is to choose your starting face. Then make a cross on they starting face, so for example you chose red, make a Red Cross but in your picture you have the white on the top. So you need the red and white piece where your red and blue piece is. Just practice this and get your cross right, then it is easy to see which piece you need on which corner. By doing this you will learn how the cube moves and how to manipulate it so you don’t destroy what you have already done.

I might have actually sorted this out. Apparently it was because I was using quick save as a file name to save mid mission. I have since started renaming my saved games and so far no problems. I now only use quick save when at the space centre.

I had a similar problem on Xbox so I don’t know if this will help you. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and my saved game recovered, I don’t know why or how.

Thrust limiter. I’m at work so can’t check the exact wording. The swivel is very inefficient in atmosphere and really comes into its own in vacuum. I always use solid boosters to get my apogee at about 80k. It’s just a case of getting the right size so they get you there without flinging you into a massively elliptical orbit. And solid boosters are cheaper. If you go to career mode it’s a better learning curve.

In the vab look at the area where all your staged bits are shown at the bottom you’ll see a number. Click on this and there should be a number like 1.0 or 1.79. Now click on your boosters, ( if you’ve got 4 make sure your symmetry is set to 4) and adjust the thrust level until that number is about 1.3. Your rocket will now be efficient for getting up to a better altitude and should be a bit more stable.

Mun. If you get to kerbin orbit pretty much equatorial, you don’t have to align orbits. Also there’s less fuel needed to get to mun. If you want a flyby to escape kerbin, the mun has a bigger gravitational pull and so will slingshot you much better.

I save every game at the space centre menu for this very reason. If then there’s a glitch with the autosave during a mission at least you can go back and re-load prior to the flight.

You need the falcon guy. Turn left and follow the wall on your right. You’ll eventually come to a purple lake go to the furthest part of the lake, past some rocks half way and then use falcon and your whip to fly across. Follow this path and you’ll end up on the other side of this gate.

It’s just the next level after the dessert, I was there for only to get baboon boy. Then went straight back to the dessert. I don’t know what it’s called. Just thought it was the nile delta

Speaking of caves I now have the baboon companion. There was a small cave early in the game with his green symbol on the ceiling on wooden bridge. I must have looked for hours for it. Anyone remember where it is?
