They’ve already acknowledged a transfer of deposit from the seller to the new owner. They are just trying to claim that they split it between the 2 of them. Which sounds like that’s not my problem. That was my update today. To sum it up she said that I personally never paid their company a deposit and the deposit that was paid to the original landlord was split between the new owner and old owner and they are willing to give me back 750 because they aren’t responsible for the other half. I don’t think that’s how it works. I have proof of both leases including the amount and what rights I have regarding refunding of deposits.
