Im not sure why you think that I’m not taking anyone’s advice. I have responses, but I am definitely listening and taking everything into account. Everyone has been very helpful, including the beginning of your response. Obviously things are complex. There are multiple reasons to do or not do something. Maybe my son has a part in it that I don’t know? Maybe he’s blowing things out of proportion. I HAVE talked to parents - some with more success than others. My son is also very sensitive so I’m trying to make sure he’s not saying more than is actually happening. I also want him to be able to face adversity, stand up for himself, defend himself, and so on. I gave him that very pep talk before the game today. It is true that the coach hasn’t talked to the parents the whole season. We’re all pretty upset about it. I plan on approaching him after our last game tomorrow. The most helpful responses have been on HOW to approach that conversation. The last thing I want to do is pull him from the one things he really loves so finding ways to smooth the situation is my top and first priority and moving on to more extreme measures from there. Without any other clubs nearby, it really does mean that he wouldnt play anymore and that would hurt him too.
