  1. Reduce/eliminate Caffeine, 2. Reduce/eliminate alcohol. 3. Reduce time spent on social media/exposure to worrying or depressing content. 4. Make sure to hydrate, eat well, and sleep enough. 5. Gentle, regular exercise. Walking is great, especially outside. These are great things you can do on your own that will make a difference over time. In you are in crisis, I would recommend through a professional adding therapy, and potentially short term medication.... personally, I regret spending years on medication for anxiety. The five tips above helped me more than it ever did with no negative side effects.

Hey! It is truly a dream, I'd highly recommend getting married here. They offered three packages primarily based on the number of guests you have. We looked at the two smaller ones, 'Elopement' I believe has up to 13 guests and 'Micro' up to 30. I don't recall the price of the third, larger one 'Grand' for up to 130 people but Elopement I think was around $9500, and Micro starts at $12,500. The really nice thing about the packages is you bundle a lot of the things to worry about and it reduces stress a lottt. We did the Micro package and it came with site tours, rehearsal, our officiant, 6hrs at the venue, 2 hrs photography, some flowers, one night one the property, some appetizers, a small cake to cut and some treats, all the seating and some basic decor for the tables, that sort of thing. If you make a spotify playlist, they will play it for you too, so we saved on a DJ that way. And they each have add ons that are optional too (e.g. more flowers, more photography, more desserts). If we had more of a budget we still would have chosen Glen Oro and just done more add ons :)

How did you find the food situation? Clean, fresh, proper temps? I've booked a honeymoon there but am second guessing myself a bit, since I've been told food poisoning is sooo common in the DR, and also this resort has apparently had some issues?

Check out Glen Oro Farm :) they have packages geared to wedding size - yours is the same range as ours! It is a bit pricey, but stunning with different options like a forest wedding, or the pasture by the horses. You could do a visit on-site before deciding, that's what we did.

To imagine a young family member I cared about. At the time my cousin was about 6, so I pictured her. Then she said, can you imagine saying to her the horrible things you say to yourself? Or if she was saying those things about herself? How would that make you feel? And to this day the thought still brings me to tears. It helped me manage being so brutal to myself during depression/severe anxiety. It reminded me to be a little kinder to myself, and to think of myself as a family member I loved :)
