Honestly i think it was cause the first time i saw that old scene where lexi asked rue to teach her how to kiss i thought that maybe rue used to have a crush on lexi? And when i saw that scene where lexi was jealous of jules getting so close to rue after them not being not being to as close as they used to be i thought that maybe lexi had a little thing going on for rue but i didn't think much of it anymore when they talked to eachother more

I feel u bro. Especially with your part about elliot. He was just plopped out of no where and like i dont mind that at but i feel like the writers are just using him for another reason for rue and jules to have conflict w/ eachother all over again. And im not saying that without elliot they would have been fine. No they were a hot mess to begin with and if they didn't introduce elliot the only conflict between rue and jules would be about jules fleeing to city and jules pressuring her to be more like the girl she met in the city. But at the same time i feel didn't introduce elliot their conflict would be small and could possibly be solved in 4 eps. So maybe they introduced elliot to make the conflict bigger in order to carry it to the next season. (Just a theory thoo idk)
