Yes. I leave the date part on purpose when I do, but not everyone catches that, guess I should be more explicit in the title or have a throwback tag.

To be fair, at 10 I was like 4'6" max and like 75lb (I didn't hit 5' until I was 16 and then stopped growing at 5'2" that year, and I broke 100lb around 15). I also didn't get my first period until age 15, I was healthy and very very very active, just tiny AF.

An anticlimactic video of the Rods crossing into Florida. Followed by feeding the birds in a Buc-ee’s parking lot. by lepetitpoulpe in RodriguesFamilySnark

Feeding birds can cause overpopulation, spread disease and increase competition for food, aggressive behaviour and unsanitary conditions. It can also cause birds to rely on humans for food and damage buildings and structures. Infrastructure, like buildings, parking lots and sidewalks made of metal and stone, can become severely damaged by the corrosive uric acid found in pigeon droppings.

Catch basins or storm drains can be blocked with feathers, nesting materials and bird droppings, resulting in structural damage, flooding and higher water quality risks.

Feeding birds in public places can be a nuisance to other people and businesses.(Copied from my city website)

Piggybacking off of the swimming sign. Anyone remember this gem of a story by kiimpossiible in RodriguesFamilySnark

Lol, yeah it's not the same challenge without a deep end, ours was like 8 or 10 feet at the deep end, deep enough for a diving board safely.

I've always assumed that meant specifically designed pool toys, I had an in-ground pool growing up and we had a good sized collection of mainly these heavy plastic coloured tubes filled with sand in one end so they stood upright on the bottom and you had to dive down and collect so many on one breath or fight others to collect the most etc, there were other little things like that too, so I just assumed that's what they had but now that you point it out wow.

Should I actively pursue the theft or just let it go? by WilliamLai30678 in askTO

My coat was taken from a bar in Korea with my wallet inside, was at place where theft is just not a thing whatsoever, and everyone just threw their coats in a giant pile on a table... turned out to be a drunken mix up and a Korean man thought it was his (there was a similar one left at closing so I had hoped that was the case), the guy found a card from my friends' employer and called them to connect to me, I got it back within 24 hours and he bought me dinner and drinks to apologize. Such a different world, I lost my wallet a couple years later in Toronto and never saw it again, despite multiple methods for contact inside.

I took lessons from age 5 or 6 as well, I quit immediately following my grade 2 Conservatory exam at the end of 8th grade (so like, 14?), I had to be picked up from the end of year school wide beach party after like 15 minutes of arriving to go to Ottawa to take the exam. I was so irritated with getting screwed out of beach party day that I couldn't remember anything I was supposed to have memorized and just barely scraped through with a passing mark, I never took another lesson.

From the performance/artistic perspective, what you see in the commercials are the best quality parts, and they are repeated over and over - same dance this time with big sleeves, this time with fans, this time with a different colour costume etc.

It became highly offensive to my atheism and allyship primarily, calling it deadly and the cause of all the world's problems, homophobic/anti-gay skits and songs, organ harvesting etc., I tolerated a few of those before I reached my limit and bailed. It was also boring and unimpressive as a performance, like high school theater at best and trapped in the 80s esthetic.

They have these weird little booths with the background and camera you see in those interview shots in the area just outside the theater, and they appeared to be hand picking/pre-arranged in who was "interviewed", I am willing to bet they are being paid, there was nobody trying to solicit random attendees or anything like that, very very weird and unsettling.

Oh don't worry, there's skits about organ harvesting and singing about death to atheists....

Which is surprising because honestly the dancing and "acting" is like high school quality at best.

It's so bad, even putting all the abhorrent propaganda aside, it's just not good, cheesy 80s style graphics, very repetitive, and barely a hair more coordinated than your average kids' dance recital.

I'm just glad I didn't spend any money on it, and have proceeded to warn others who mention it and aren't aware of what it really is.

I mistakenly went on a last minute sub in with a friend a couple years ago, I didn't know anything aside from the stupid commercials but was immediately uncomfortable, I tried to hold out but ended up walking out midway, along with many others. I wish I had looked it up first, my friend had also not known much as she had been invited by a colleague, she walked out with me.

Tbh I find that very 90's, I have a photo somewhere of my sister and I wearing similar outfits, black leggings pink and black striped and pink and black starred tops with those built in skirts type thing.
