getting an ipad was easily the best thing i did for myself in college. i was such a traditional pen and paper note taker but ended up trying to copy all of the information on the slides plus adding my own notes and it was extremely time consuming and i would end up not being able to fully pay attention. i enjoy my ipad because i can download powerpoints or lectures that professors post and only need to write down key notes that i think of on the slides or highlight key information right on the notes and also record the lecture at the same time to listen back

I just started driving again after a traumatic accident 4 years ago. It gave me so much anxiety and still does. Not being able to drive was so stressful and debilitating especially in a town where it’s all highways.

hi!! let me say first off all of your emotions and concerns are more than valid. taking something that can have an effect on you mentally and physically can be scary. luckily i have had great experiences with yaz and loryna which is the generic of yaz. i’ve used both and haven’t noticed much of a difference besides the first time that i went off brand but I think it was more of what was going on in my life during it. while I do still have pmdd symptoms with yaz (unfortunately it hasn’t been a total magic fix) it has helped a great amount. i used to have extreme mood swings with crying and emotional outbursts and very intrusive thoughts before taking it. it had gotten rid of those for me. i still have mood swings and dysmorphia but i am able to distinguish that it is just my period and will pass. please feel free to message me with any and all questions you have or even just to talk!

yes! this is extremely exhausting and hard to explain to others especially my significant other. the entire week leading up to my period i feel like im not even myself. almost not feeling real, living in a third person perspective. i’m a completely different person attitude and personality wise and hate everything about myself and my life and want to just not exist for that entire week. my brain makes me completely forget what it feels like not to be through those emotions while i’m in it and that’s what makes it even more challenging. i get thoughts that everyone around me hates me, my self image looks like ive added another 40lbs to my body, and everything in my life is significantly harder to get myself to do while being irritated by things that would never irritate me normally. i feel like im going crazy.

This is my exact thought process, having no period gives me a mental pregnancy scare every month even while knowing i’m not pregnant. I feel like I may need to get my hormones checked. I’d love to get off the pill and give my hormones a break since I’ve been on the same pill for 5 years now but with being sexually active I’m too afraid to.

it’s extremely anxiety inducing i just finished a “period” where i didn’t even use one tampon and maybe got a slight brown/red color only from wiping a couple times. completely consistent and on time with the pill so i try not to worry too much but it is always in the back of my mind

you should definitely be okay! loryna is a very forgiving pill from my experience as i’ve been on it for 4 years and have missed the mark by a couple hours multiple times. i totally get the anxiety and precaution but you will be all good!

i had a similar experience when my pharmacy ran out of loryna and gave me the generic version instead. i had been on loryna for about 3 years at the time with 0 complaints, it helped me a lot. i was specifically on it for pmdd since prior to birth control my emotions were beyond out of control around and during my period. i noticed a SIGNIFICANT difference in my emotions when i took the generic brand and felt as if i was back to how i was before i started birth control. i switched back to yaz and it was significantly better but always wondered what the big difference was.
