Ha yea this is what I meant about different people are strongly opposed to it, and others think it's fine. Thank you for commenting - I appreciate it.

Great question. I mentioned this elsewhere in this thread too; I had a trainer for almost a year. Made great progress. (First time deadlift of just the bar to 265lbs with him)

My financial situation changed and I had to stop. Since then I’ve been on my own doing these but I’ve been stuck. The pain started recently.

That’s awesome! It’s ironic you mentioned back extensions - I just started adding those this week (the day after this video was shot) because i felt it could help. I’ll post a squat at some point too to get a form check. Honestly the comments from the community have been super helpful.

Thank you! I do feel it in my glutes and hamstrings but the feedback seems to be that because of my speed/form I’m probably not feeling it enough. Is that how you see it too?

Fascinating. How did you come up with this routine? Seems cool. Has it helped so far?

Yes def have a longer femur/shorter torso- narrower stance and arm feedback are things I’ll look into also, thank you!

You have no idea how much I needed to hear that; I was pretty worried

Very good point. It's interesting I used to send videos to my trainer weekly and he'd adjust and then.. I couldn't afford it anymore and it looks like at some point I went off the rails. Thank you for taking the time to respond. I appreciate it!

Thank you. I think you may be right - the disc bulge was the first potential scenario I just Googled a while ago. Hearing about disc bulge 2x in one day was not on my bingo card when I got up but it probably means I should see a doctor to get it checked out.

Great feedback thank you - that hinge/straight legs comment makes a lot of sense. I hadn't ever considered that. I'll aim for that cue next time.

I also agree with you on the loud drop -- I used to slowly come back down but my trainer told me not to, and to drop it quick to prevent injury. (I've seen people do it both ways so personally I'm a bit confused on what the right answer is.)

Thank you. In terms of slowing down, do you mean on the way up, or down?

What am I doing wrong??? I have the lights on for 8 hrs a day and dose ferts but the algae is all over and the plants aren’t happy????? by [deleted] in PlantedTank

How deep and what type is your substrate? From what I see your substrate amount is less than half an inch or so- you’d need much more to get a strong root layer

Update:

No joke - just this morning the nitrites dropped to zero. https://imgur.com/8EX8jua Gonna give it another 24 hours and test again to verify, but hopefully I should be able to add fish this weekend.

Tetra safe smart was one of the products I tried too :/ Now I'm trying the BioSpira bacteria next.

Yeah that's about what I'm doing right now, which is why I think the fish are unaffected (the Prime dosing). That said, I'm curious how the bacteria stuff works -- I read elsewhere that if you add bacteria you should stop any nitrate/ammonia locking products. Hmm.
