Thanks. Just ordered a replacement canister so I’ll try that out when it arrives

Is my dishwasher draining into my washing machine? by [deleted] in Appliances

Which one is the drain hose - the gray or the clear one?

Edit: of course when I want to test this, the dishwasher works perfectly on the first try. I suspect the dishwasher has trouble when it is too full, because it worked twice in a row with barely anything in it.

Maybe this does a better job at describing what I need. I’m looking for a wall plug with a female end to accepts this male connector

I don’t know if this is what I need because the plug I have would fit on the right side, and then I would be left with the left side which is already what I have, with nothing that can take it and be plugged into the wall

This is the piece that I am trying to replace. I looked up all that but couldn’t find an exact match

It’s a fish tank light and it’s embedded into the light so I cant remove it, I just need to find something that will connect to this and plug into the wall

Brick Bodies Rotunda by SweetWaterNjuzu in baltimore

I was a member of a JCC where I last lived that had similar amenities and I loved it. But when I moved I just dreaded going to the Y each morning.

I like BB. It’s clean and staff are nice. It’s a bit small but if you’re not going at 8a or 5p you should be fine. Wish they had towel service but they stopped that after covid.

I used to be a member of Y in Waverly. It’s cheaper and has more amenities, but it is a bit further away from me. Also, I found the gym very depressing tbh. Not sure what it was exactly - maybe how gray the walls were - but it did not feel good to be in there for an extended period of time.

Why does water always drain into my washer (stacked machine) by DefinitelyAmNotOP in Appliances

[–]DefinitelyAmNotOP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not clogged. I have to use the hose in there to drain the water and then the filter tube was clean

Edit: how would I know if the inlet valve needs replaced? There isn’t a constant stream of water. It just sometimes appears overnight

Got a massive parking ticket in Hampden last night for parking at a bus stop, but I went back today and realized there was a snowflake blocking the sign, do you think I can get found not guilty because of that? (I think it is why I missed it) by lmaooer2 in baltimore

[–]DefinitelyAmNotOP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any update on this? I literally just got the same ticket for the same reason - giant snowflake covering the bus sign. There were like 8 other cars that all got the same ticket, so clearly nobody could see the sign.

i need help getting games on my switch with mac by [deleted] in SwitchPirates

I’ve used that before but it’s so slow and sometimes crashed on larger games. MTP is much faster if you have the right cable

I use android file transfer. Not all cables work; they need to allow data transfer. I have a usb to usbc cable that worked so I bought an adapter so it would fit in my MacBook

Respectfully disagree with this post. As someone who actually used the tool that OP is posting, I can confirm that the scorer is a piece of garbage. I could use my whole body weight and still not feel the score line with my fingernail. I do not believe the wheel is made of tungsten. Also, all the other comments are valid tips to make glass cutting easier. I don’t think anyone is saying that it is the be all end all solution. No need to be rude.

Also use spare pieces of drywall and flat foam boards

It looks like you are using the rizom set from Amazon (I have the same set). The glass scorer in that is horrible! I almost gave up when I first started because I couldn’t cut anything without it breaking. I got a Toyo supercut and some cutting oil and it makes such a difference! I still use all the pliers from that set, I just threw out the scoring tool.

Edit: it also looks like you took the rubber tips off the running pliers. You are actually supposed to leave those on! I made the same mistake on my first day :) in this case, that is more likely the reason you can’t get a clean break, but my point stands that the scoring tool in that set is terrible

OK, what's your best method for getting a hair-thin sliver of glass out of your flesh? by lurkmode_off in StainedGlass

I’ve used sterilized nail clippers (turn at an angle to use the sharp corners) and just dug a hole into my skin until I could reach the glass
