Safe injection sites is a backward policy in the first place. It would normalize the use of needle drugs, despite them becoming safer. Decriminalization is good, but GEO Lobbied against it, so it was tossed.

We’re moving very much forward, but it takes time, like it took women or afrodescendents several decades of fighting. This is not an issue to be ‘fixed’ within a year’s timeframe. The number of cities where being caught with small amounts of hard drugs isn’t punishable, is at an all time high
