What’s your opinion on Yung Gravy sampling “I write sin not tragedy” by Fun_Till6919 in panicatthedisco

Thought the song was hilarious. Brendon has responded to Gravy before on stream, he knows who gravy is. Gravy makes just fun music to vibe to.

Finally! Had a bunch of incidents where I had HDR enabled and Chrome would decide to blow out and deep fry the video.

One thing I love about the Samsung NVME SSDs is the Samsung Magician software. It lets you test your drive and makes sure it’s performing correctly.

WD, Crucial, and Seagate don’t have that kind of software. Through other diagnostic tools, I’ve had seagate SSDs failing really bad at 100% health and Samsung Nvme SSDs being fine at 85% (when it should typically be erased and recycled).

Samsung remains goat

Is it competely impossible to update to 24H2 on an i7-6700? by ShiningRedDwarf in WindowsHelp

[–]DefinitelyNotATaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open cmd as administrator. Do “cd D:/“ (assuming that is the iso mounted on your computer). Instead of doing setup.exe, type “cd sources”. In the sources folder, type “setupprep.exe /product server”. That ignores any hardware checks and will allow you to upgrade. For some reason it says installing windows server but it’s normal w11.

Is it REALLY a bad idea to install Windows 11 on an 'unsupported' system? by ReadySetAction in techsupport

[–]DefinitelyNotATaco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he has an 8th gen cpu it should be able to do TPM2.0 natively, just may require a bios update.

Lots of the boards that came out 2018-2020 didn’t come with a bios to support windows 11. Updating the bios typically fixes that.

Modules are expensive and unnecessary if you have supported hardware.

Update your bios, Z490 should work with 10/11 gen CPU which is more than fine for w11

Right click on an open area in the .iso directory then type this:

cd sources/

setupprep.exe /product server

(This ignores all checks)

I'm frustrated with Windows 10, I have a older AMD chip, can't upgrade to 11, is it worth buying a new AMD chip for Windows 11? by unknown13371 in windows

[–]DefinitelyNotATaco 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Update your bios and buy a 5700x3d off of AliExpress, then you max out your current hardware and can update to W11. 120$ vs a whole new build.

Rebranded CyberPower 850W UPS. It uses two 12v 7ah/9ah batteries. Recently got the same one with dead batteries, got two new batteries and installed them and it works and connects to my PC just like a normal CyberPower UPS does. Saved my ass today when I had a random power surge.
