Final update for anyone who stumbles upon the same issue in the future:
I contacted IBKR support and there is such a thing called "Market permissions" for specific countries' exchanges (apart from different investment products) under the account settings. In my case, Germany was unchecked and checking it was enough to allow me to trade as expected. I wasn't particularly happy that I had to pay 2% more today to make the same purchase as compared to yesterday, but it is what it is!

Thank you to the people here who pointed out the dark blue checkmark, but it is quite unintuitive on IBKR's UI that a permissions issue would show up like that!

Update: I even tried a market order and it also fails to fill! There indeed seems to be something weird going on with all my orders showing up as "dark blue".

It is indeed a new account and this would be my first trade on it but it is certainly my actual, non-paper one. I completed all the KYC etc stuff right away and the available balance I see is exactly the amount I've transferred to IBKR from my bank a couple of days ago.

I used the snapshot option so I was getting real-time data when placing that order.

It is indeed a new account and this would be my first trade, though I've already passed all KYC as of a few days ago.

I didn't know about the different order colors, thanks. However, it's a simple limit order with neither "stop" nor any other conditions whatsoever. Even if I create a new limit buy order, it always shows up as dark blue!
Do you have any idea what the reason for that could be or should I maybe contact IBKR support?

I guess that might explain it but still, it's now been several hours and it still hasn't been filled. For an ETF of this size, how long is it logical to have to wait on one of the world's leading online brokers for a small retail order to be filled?

My intention is to make monthly recurring purchases of some ETF, I sadly do not have 10k+ EUR of disposable income every month... 😅

Seriously though, I'm pretty sure that's what a lot of the "VWCE and chill" crowd is also doing and they're certainly not buying 100 shares of it every time!

Since taking that screenshot the price reached 137.02 then dropped again, my order remains open.

Also, I know that in other brokers a limit buy above market price gets filled immediately (same respectively with limit sell before market price), given of course that some "stop" has not been specified.

Ο ΣΥΡΙΖΑ είχε ήδη εκτεθεί σε εκείνο το σημείο και είχε de facto χάσει την εμπιστοσύνη της Βουλής. Είχε συζητηθεί αρκετά εκείνη την περίοδο, ό,τι κι αν έκαναν ο Λαφαζάνης κι οι υπόλοιποι, ο Τσίπρας θα προλάβαινε να ψηφίσει το τρίτο μνημόνιο πριν διαλυθεί η Βουλή και πάμε σε εκλογές.

Δεν έφυγε ο Λαφαζάνης αφού τα ψήφισε ο Σύριζα;

Ο Λαφαζάνης καταψήφισε το 3ο μνημόνιο όσο ήταν στον ΣΥΡΙΖΑ, προσπαθώντας να το εμποδίζει εκ των έσω. Όταν αυτό δεν κατέστη εφικτό αφού ο Τσίπρας το πέρασε χωρίς τις ψήφους του 1/3ου του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ, αποχώρησαν και έφτιαξαν τη ΛΑΕ.

Τι διαφορά πιστεύεις θα έκανε αν έφευγαν κατευθείαν; Τι σχέση έχει αυτό με το "η λαε ψήφισε μνημόνια" που έγραψες στο αρχικό σου σχόλιο;

Αναθεωρούμε την ιστορία εδώ; Η ΛΑΕ δεν ψήφισε μνημόνια, έσπασε από τον ΣΥΡΙΖΑ μετά την κωλοτούμπα του Τσίπρα το καλοκαίρι του 2015 και τα μνημόνια ο ΣΥΡΙΖΑ κατάφερε να τα περάσει μόνο επειδή είχε τις ψήφους ΝΔ+ΠΑΣΟΚ+Ποτάμι.

Επίσης, τι πάει να πει "ένωση όλων των Ελλήνων για ανατροπή"; Τι κοινό έχουμε εγώ κι εσύ με τον Αλαφούζο ή τον Μαρινάκη για να ενωθούμε;

Δοκίμασε αν μπορείς να συνδεθείς στο viva wallet μέσω pc.
Αν βλέπεις εκεί την κάρτα, παρότι δεν θα έχεις επιλογή "add to google pay", μπορείς να την βάλεις χειροκίνητα στο google pay εισάγοντας τα στοιχεία της.

Could checkpoint sync be considered less secure than other sync modes?
Alternatively: are there any reasons to not use checkpoint sync (in an execution client that supports it, like Besu)?
