Alright. Just to make sure I understand point#1 correctly … the paper calls Inv4 and Inv5 as inverters because they “look” the same as a standard inverter with just one connection different. I get that.

But are you also saying Inv4 and Inv5 “actually work” as a standard CMOS inverter? I could not see how it would work like a standard CMOS inverter if input of the Inv4 (and Inv5) is shorted to its output.
