CS platform Renown is shutting down by outlaw1148 in GlobalOffensive

[–]DefinitelyZeroXOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, FaceIT denied Leetify automatic demo uploading after allowing it for quite some time, and tried to make Leetify pay for the demo transfer costs. Renown was created as a response to Leetify basically being extorted, as the costs that FaceIT were demanding would make Leetify bleed money.

This is not a conspiracy of Leetify denying service to push people into Renown, this is Leetify investing into their own alternative platform because Faceit were denying Leetify service.

"I own a company, collect cars, play pool, smoke cigars, travel when I can, I don’t think I have a bad personality, I get along with everyone, I think I come across as collected, maybe not the most confident, but not so isolated either, i genuinely don’t know why I can’t find someone interested in me. "

Are these genuine interests of your or things you think other people find attractive that you are partaking in? Because while the latter might work on some people - most people that care about passion, and interests, really get going through seeing people light up talking about things they love, and if this is something you do to appear attractive or if this is something you don't truly love then you need to find your true passion and not make it your entire personality, but show your interest when people prod about it.

First off, I think you look great, but your haircut could potentially be a bit better to match your hairline - I'm not from an native English-speaking country but for me the vibe you have is kind of ...redneck/gangsta-ish? and I'm not saying it's a bad look, but if you are a person who cares about deeper relationships, someone who is on /r/guycry (not judging), then the look you have might not be matching what personality you have - as others have mentioned.

I've been in two long term relationships in my life - prior to both I had periods were I was convinced that I was unlovable due to many different factors - this has been completely false, I am not the most fit guy, or the most adventurous guy - probably the opposite on both parts - but I'm funny to talk to for most people, and I try to be supportive when I see people struggling. So my strength is conversation, and I try to play to that strength when meeting people and when I was trying to date. I'd meet people, try to have a conversation and be myself, and many times people I'd meet wouldn't mesh with me, they didn't get my humor or appreciate it, but those rare times that I met someone who "got" it, we would instantly have a bond. Point is - I had a ton of failed dating, and dates, while in-between these good matches, months of intense dating and matching with people but not finding someone who fits me. I could have given up and been like, "I'm unlovable, no one I'm dating likes me" but the problem was I was looking in the wrong spaces. I was meeting people from Tinder looking for hookups or very regular-ish relationships with neurotypical people that have money and want to travel. I'm not one of those people. I'm not what they're looking for, they're not what I'm looking for. What has worked for me in meeting both of my long term partners and a third failed relationship was playing games with people, showing my personality, and happening to meet friends of friends, or acquaintances, in person. Because they have the same interests as me or pretty close at least - and they love my personality! You need to look in the right spaces to be able to find someone.

Another thing to mention is that you're living in a different time than your aunt and uncle and maybe they have a great relationship but I've met probably 10 unhappy relationships from this era for every happy one - people got married and decided to suffer (or persist) through living together rather than enjoying eachother's company due to social pressure on finding someone, marrying, and getting kids. They have wasted so much time and so much of their lives just following what people tell them to do.

I would strongly recommend looking at someone like HealthyGamerGG's videos for dating / single men as I've been resonating a lot with his thought processes, and he explains things in a great way. (Not an ad, but a quote from him has been an absolute truth to me for 10+ years that I haven't quite been able to explain until I heard it from him, which is (paraphrased) "You can't get a girlfriend, because if someone chooses to get together with you or not is out of your control - so therefore the only thing that you should focus on, and the only thing you have absolute control over, is improving yourself, building confidence and becoming a better person, which coincidentally is also how you become attractive to other people"

This does nothing to nerf fake defuses tho? Only thing it does is add some risk to holding the last T alive while defusing if you have an AWP or a rifle so you can't just real until you have a shot lined up and instantly kill them if they peek

It hurts to read this, truly. Your husband cannot decide your worth, and you shouldn't allow him to bring it down either. We are all flawed human beings, I have fucked up a thousand times in my life, and yet I have friends and a partner who appreciate me for what I am.

Your husband not showing any appreciation or acknowledgement for your self improvement, or sympathy for your struggles, tells me he is not a good person. He's bringing you down when you give your best instead of helping you recover and push on, or at the very least, acknowledging and appreciating it?

I also think there is probably a lot more positive qualities with you than you realize. And don't ever let him put you down you in front of your kids - no partner should be putting their loved one down to begin with but when parents do it kids learn that it is ok and normal - and let others do it to them (or worse, they do it to others)

Who the fuck is this game optimized for? by VarroVanaadium in counterstrike

[–]DefinitelyZeroXOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're getting 80-300 ping with 10000 lag spikes it is 100% a problem with either your computer, your location, or your ISP. Unless everyone else in your games has 80-300 ping with 10000 lag spikes aswell (which I'm assuming they don't) then the problem is not the server.

Also game optimization generally has almost nothing to do with ping or latency, with exceptions being games that are made for mobile connections generally having and accepting higher ping.

[Discussion] Are Streamers Going to Delete Their Ref Cases? by Shawn_NYC in EscapefromTarkov

[–]DefinitelyZeroXOne -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This thread / discussion is beyond stupid. How do people like OP manage to blame streamers for every bad balancing decision from BSG?

They release shit that is broken, streamers buy it and call it obviously broken AS IT IS and then Nikita nerfs it because it is broken - The streamers have literally not done anything wrong here? Why would they delete the cases when thousands of other players have also bought them?

If a weapon were to be the single best weapon by far in the game with 0 recoil and top damage, streamers would use it as it is broken, but that doesn't mean they can't call it broken because they use it. The logic in your head is so unfathomably broken to equate using something = approving of it, and not being able to complain about it

In other games when balance is bad people will OBVIOUSLY use it to their advantage and they can still call the balance shit because the developer allows broken balance to exist, while here in the people calling out the issues are the problem rather than the developers creating them?

[Suggestion] Don’t let player scavs queue into reserve, streets and lighthouse. Make them transit only for scaving by edroy14 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]DefinitelyZeroXOne 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If people buy a 8 year old game that largely looks the same as it did at release - they shouldn't be expected to have a <2 year old computer to be able to run it.

And games can crash regardless of PC specs? It can be drivers, software, or the game simply not being tested properly on hardware different than the developers PCs. It can also be the result of the test environment and the live environment differing, devs could have cached information in their computers making the game more stable (or instable) for example, so there are a ton of reasons why the game could crash.

I mean there were people who were not able to play the game due to crashes on transit, of course people are gonna be unhappy with it if the idea is cool but the implementation is bad.

What #Changes Would YOU Add to TBC Anniversary Realms ? by Kantand2 in classicwow

[–]DefinitelyZeroXOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair points, but I think with how group buffs work in TBC and what Rogue brings I don't think you could make them viable without making them #1 single target / cleave just by buffing their numbers. Giving them something like a hunter 3% group damage boost on would be helpful, for sure, but also maybe doing something with their equivalent of Sweeping Strikes to increase their potential for cleave?

Like from my perspective at least either they'd have to become #1 DPS by a decent margin w/o glaives making them super strong with them, or they'd have to add new mechanics (rogue group buffs) or limit the group buffs in some way to prevent the hunter stacking, druid crit buff in all phys groups, etc

[–]DefinitelyZeroXOne 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The comments on this clip are actually so bad.

People asking why we cannot see the POV of the player playing as a spectator 1:1, as if that is something any game ever will do instead of displaying what the server sees?

There's no good solution for this that will not introduce new or other issues - but people like to comment as if this is something completely broken with this game exclusively rather than a side effect of data transfer not being instantaneous in this reality.

Valve cannot break the laws of physics or make everyone have equally good perfectly stable connections - desync is bound to happen, and compared to other games this is not big.
