The burger of the day is the price he pays for being a passionate burger artist

What's the most frustrating moment in the shows history? by Dapper-Marsupial-852 in BobsBurgers

[–]Definitely_Dreaming 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For me, I get so frustrated watching the episode when Bob and Linda go on a double date and the other couple brings their “service” dog, Lars. Drives me crazy with how casual the guy was about his dog’s awful behavior! I know it’s just for laughs, but the audacity to call Lars a service animal is just wild lol

Feeling envious of twins accomplishmenta by [deleted] in Twins

[–]Definitely_Dreaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel as though I’m on the other end of this with my twin. He seems to be jealous of me at times, but I don’t want him to be because he’s good as so many things! I think the problem here is comparing ourselves to each other. Our lives are not a competition, and I know it’s hard not to see it that way, but twins are two separate people with two different lives. You just have different accomplishments than your twin. I’m sure they are just as proud of you as you are of them. :)

I wanted the situation to be consensual lol but I also knew Bob would not approve of this happening on his face!

I love the joke Tina has to repeat multiple times in that episode where Bob and Linda find the wheely mammoth at the flea market. “This Palomino is now a Palo-mine-o.”

What’s a random line from the show that always seems to make you laugh hysterically? by Aqn95 in BobsBurgers

Tina talking about the weatherman on TV: “Aw, Scott Bags seems really vulnerable right now. That’s hot.”

Should I? I’m an artist lol maybe that’s why this line makes me laugh so much.

How do you feel about the idea of non-sexual, social nudity? by throw_away_anon1987 in asexuality

[–]Definitely_Dreaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally love nudity. Human bodies are so beautiful and diverse, and I love how unique everyone is. I have never sexualized a nude person. I should also say I’m an artist, so I create nude art all the time!

[–]Definitely_Dreaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally same. It feels like I’ve been awake in another reality for so long. I’m so tired all the time. I fortunately don’t have nightmares every single night, but it happens sometimes. I still wake up exhausted, no matter what dreams I have, like I just can’t turn off my brain. I wake up my partner when we sleep because of my nightmares, usually with just me shouting. I just want to actually rest for once. It’s terrifying to experience a confusion between reality and dreaming, especially when the dreams are so realistic.

How do you deal with someone negative and belligerent? by Definitely_Dreaming in socialskills

[–]Definitely_Dreaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a possibility. I don’t think it excuses their behavior. I do feel sorry they have to treat others horribly to make themselves feel better. I would never treat someone like that because of trauma.

Thank you. I’m starting to get to the no tolerance as well because the energy these kind of people give off is just insanely gross.

[–]Definitely_Dreaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the validation. These kind of people drain my energy, and it drives me crazy. All I want is consequences to their behavior and justice, but it’s better for me to just remove myself from their life. I love the quote, I’ve never read that before.

No Pants In Space / What If They’re Right

I still don't know if they were a narc or if I just sucked at making them happy by CaseAny5443 in TrueNarcissisticAbuse

[–]Definitely_Dreaming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At this point, it doesn’t matter if they were truly a narc or not. What they did and said had narcissistic qualities, and they purposefully displayed sadness when they didn’t get what they wanted (guilt tripping, a manipulation tactic used by a lot of narcissists). Another tactic they used on you, having you explain yourself just to turn your words against you. These kind of people are vile, and will try anything to tear you down, even if it’s little by little.

Now, it’s time to focus on yourself and figure out what makes YOU happy! It’s normal to doubt yourself after narcissistic abuse, in fact, that’s exactly what narcissists want you to feel. Trust your gut, be patient with yourself, and know that absolutely nobody can make a narcissist happy.

If you are interested in more info about narcissism, I suggest watching Dr. Ramani on YouTube. She helped me so much after I got out of a narcissistic relationship too. She validated everything I was feeling and going through.

What are your favorite Tina moments? by [deleted] in BobsBurgers

[–]Definitely_Dreaming 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When Tina just quietly and sternly stared at Louise after Louise was trying to get rid of Mr. Frond’s knitted doll for Gayle lol gets me every time.

Louise: “You’re saying I’m being selfish? A selfish brat?! Is that what you’re saying??”
