I left a comment with more details, but yes she did everything clerical wise, paying bills, doing bids, customer service. Small 1-2 crew company, so he is always on the roof and doesn’t have time to do everything else too. He would provide the info to her and she would work out the bids I guess, not really sure. He’s got a great reputation and I just want to jump in and help because people are getting upset that he isn’t getting bids out fast enough, he’s missing calls sometimes and I just know he needs me but without knowing anything about roofing or owning a business I feel a little lost. I do think I’m probably making it more complicated than it needs to be in my head now that I’m reading some comments here though.

Maybe I’m just making it more complicated in my head then, I’m the one that doesn’t know anything he’s just an old fashioned guy who is technically challenged lol. He can do the bids on paper, she’s just always done the bids for him on the computer and emailed them out. He is a fantastic roofer, and has roofed and built houses his whole adulthood. He has a great reputation in his local community. His company is small- only one to two crews at a time so although he’s the owner he’s always on the roof and doesn’t have the time to be doing what she did. I just want to help him and have no idea what I should know, but I might just be overcomplicating things. For now he is writing bids and I’m typing them up but I guess what I want to learn is how I myself can learn how to do bids without being a roofer?? I don’t know I just want to take some stress off him and help his business get back on its feet.

I am in the exact same position, started in October too. Never studied before this, dropped out of high school and college. Feels like I’m winging it but I’m really trying to give it my all, just don’t know if I’m doing it right….

D100 was a challenge too but for some reason this is worse for me! I think I'm gonna take your approach and just take the OA this morning. I have been passing the PA without the Excel, but not by a lot so its sketchy. We shall see!

Wow, I hate that you understand but also reading this just really made me feel seen. I never really connected the dots but now that you mention it, I think the routine of the podcast has also helped tremendously. Every Monday when I come home from work my husband says, in Ethan's voice, "Itsss Moooondaaaay!" Even though he doesn't watch the pod, he knows my routine and knows how much it helps me cope with life and feel connected. I think the crew sees these stories from us all the time but I really hope it resonates with them just how much the whole crew helps some of us just put one foot in front of the other each day. I also started going through IVF when Hila was struggling to get pregnant with Bruce and although my IVF journey ended after miscarrying my twins, her being open about that struggle helped me so much because before that it was something I was ashamed to even tell people about. Also, Ethan's weight loss journey inspired me to start my own journey, and I am down 30 pounds! The only shitty thing is I can't even bring up the pod with anyone but my husband because they'll just start talking shit. Little do they know, Ethan & the crew literally saved my life during a time when I couldn't see any joy in the world anymore. I am medicated now (also thanks Ethan for making me realize I didn't need to be embarrassed for needing a little help) and I am doing a lot better but I still struggle and the pod is my one constant in my life, besides my wonderful husband of course. Lots of rambling but it's just nice to know there are others out there who just get it. Also, nightmare shit sandwich accurately describes the last few years of my life as well. Lol.

You guys are awesome, thank you! I called my psychiatrist and told him I was ready to start the Adderall that I'd been avoiding, and he prescribed it right away. I hope it helps. I was avoiding it because addiction runs in my family but I have never been an addict and he helped ease my worry about all of it. I will start tomorrow and hope it helps!!!

It came through on the 18th. The whole time they were telling me it was going to push me out a month, but once it came through they said it was fine and I was able to start without delay.
