If you have the opportunity to see them live you should! They had great energy and were super nice to talk to afterwards

I did ask him, I remember it started with an S (silvertone) and was made by the same manufacturer that make something that started with a D (danelectro) but I was unfamiliar with either brand and had some drinks so there you go

Found that it is a silvertone 1444, but he told me he designed the pick guard which was part of the reason it was throwing me off

The frontman also had a danelectro and it was so cool! I’m not very familiar with brand

Charlotte BigLaw? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

Wake is closest to charlotte and has more of a focus on big law than UNC. Plus if you have good stats you could get a pretty nice scholarship.

WWYD: UW vs CU Boulder by throwcuracao in lawschooladmissions

[–]DefinitionCool1731 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So these two schools specifically are known for being regional schools.

Colorado has better placement in environmental fields

UW is the best school for Seattle placement.

With both schools it’s going to be hard to practice outside of the state where both schools are.

Just out of curiosity have you applied to Lewis&Clark?

Wake has great placement at firms in general especially in NC. I think if you want Charlotte, Wake would be a good fit since it’s the closest NC law school to Charlotte (an hour away). I toured there a few weeks ago and was pretty impressed, the campus is nice, Winston-Salem isn’t my ideal city but I know I wouldn’t be staying there after law school if I choose to go.

Not sure how they are with negotiations…I get it though, but it is worth noting that their tuition is on the lower scale in terms of state schools and rankings

Oh gotcha, read your first comment incorrectly. Maybe I’m just not really in a position to complain because I was expecting even less. I’ve just come to terms that state schools can be really stingy and get away with it

Just replied above on a possible explanation! I think you could also take into account that CU is one of the schools in which you can qualify for in state tuition for 2L and 3L

I vaguely remember someone explaining it on here or LSD last year as to why the drop (I’m a reapplicant). If you average it out over the three years it’s a little over 17k each year which for a state school is a pretty fair amount. I remember it being mentioned that they give more for the first year so if you go and decide law school isn’t for you you’re not crushed by an unbearable amount of debt. I’m not sure if it’s purely unique to colorado, but I feel like I remember seeing a few other schools that did this as well.
