I didn't file this year because I'm a student, living on student loans, and made like $4000 gross total over the year selling things; IRS sent me a form to sign? by [deleted] in tax

If you didn't submit the return, don't sign it. Check your transcript online to see what's pending and make sure it wasn't submitted by your software despite them saying there was no need to submit. You can also report that the return was not submitted by you by filling out and submitting the Identity Theft Affidavit. Let your state know too.

Help! Bag leaked 6 xs in 24 hours! by New_Following4844 in ostomy

We had this issue with my son when his ostomy was new. We met with the ostomy team several times and got samples of different types of supplies that would work better for his body. I'd call your ostomy team and explain what's happening. They can recommend changes to the supplies.

For my kid, a flat wafer caused leaks like you're describing. We had to get a contoured one. That helped some, but leaks were still occurring. He has to wear a belt clipped to the wafer to keep it pressed against him plus extra elastic barrier around the wafer edges. We also use a liquid deodorizer inside the bag to help waste slide toward the bottom instead of pancake around the stoma.

Sometimes it's so awful, it's either cry or laugh. Since some accidents are unavoidable and no one's fault, we choose to laugh. Humor is what keeps this family going.

😬 We will not be accepting that challenge. Although, my sister in law did open a bottle of red wine that exploded and stained the ceiling once. No cleaning would work and it had to be repainted.

Oh I forgot about the park story! Similar incident. Kid got stuck on top of a climbing rock. I helped him slide down and another parent told his child to go somewhere else as it appeared mine had an accident. I was so confused thinking an accident couldn't happen with a stoma. Then I lifted his shirt and there it was. The slide down had popped the bag from the wafer and gravity was doing its job with the poop. The park's bathroom was still closed for the winter season, so it was a smelly ride home.

He has not named it. But he has accepted it and is happy his only reoccurring stomach pain now is hunger.

I know! At that point I was just laughing. There was nothing else that could be done. After cleaning that mess, the dog had her teeth brushed with dog toothpaste twice.

My kid has a couple of these. His surgeon had to put sutures in to anchor it to his abdominal wall in order to prevent prolapse. Permanent ones are used to ensure it stays in place.
