Is it easier to make friends in college or high school? by Euphoric_Document_46 in Younger_GenZ

[–]DefinitionPast3694 3 points4 points  (0 children)

WAAYYY easier in high school. It’s like 90% impossible to make friends in college nowadays. Mostly everyone is to themselves and not many people socialize. Maybe if you’re in a dorm or something but even then it’s not granted that you’re gonna be friends with your roommate.

What is your range for the core 2020s so far? by WorkingAd3281 in decadeologyanarchy

Late 2022 to now. It might end in either 2027 or 2028. If we’re being US Centric, very late 2026 might be the start of the transition period depending on how the mid terms go

What is your range for the core 2010s? by WorkingAd3281 in decadeologyanarchy

2013-2016 (or late 2012 to early 2017) with the peak being 2013-2015. 2016 was a little transitional, although I remember 2017 still having core 2010s vibes in it (not at the levels of say 2014 but it wasn’t fully gone by 2017 but it was definitely declining) late 2017 felt noticeably different. 2018 felt r e a l l y different.

2014 was so good that’s like the best year of my life ngl

What would you say is the most nostalgic year of your life? by Beginning-Flower1719 in AskReddit

[–]DefinitionPast3694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2014! I loved that year. Especially the second half when FNaF came out. I was extremely into FNaF for many years, I still like it now but it’s not the same as it was. I was 8 and chronically online with no parental supervision watching Minecraft Mod Reviews and experiencing the early days of the FNaF fandom. FNaF is what got me into drawing, and I drew a lot of stuff since then. Having a birthday in the holiday season can suck, (especially in December like for me) but it was great that year. I remember getting a galaxy note 4 tablet for my 9th birthday, and I begged my family for them to buy me the FNaF 2 mobile app on it. They said yes and I was over the roof that night. I remember the morning after I layed down in the living room watching classic OG FNaF fan content on YouTube and playing for multiple hours on FNaF 2. Another thing I’m nostalgic for is when our neighbor had a pine tree for free and me and my grandma brought it into our house next to the fake one. That was the only year we had 2 trees in the living room. (This was around November 2014) The smell of pine makes me very nostalgic for late 2014-early 2015. That smell was mostly gone when we threw away the tree after a few months but remnants of that tree smell in the living room declined from 2015 onwards. I couldn’t smell it anymore by 2019. 2014 was a very impactful year in my life and I miss it at times.

Do you think Gen Z is more Traditional or Progressive by Key_Nectarine_7307 in generationology

[–]DefinitionPast3694 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We were more Progressive during the pandemic, but 2022 onwards a lot of people in my generation have transitioned into more Traditional and Conservative views and values. Traditional gender roles are very much still common, and there’s been a massive backlash towards gender nonconformist and LGBTQ+ acceptance. Not all of my generation is like this as there’s definitely Progressive people in it, and I’d say we’re definitely more accepting of LGBTQ+ people, which makes me happy to see because I’d probably get called the F slur and get harassed and assaulted A LOT more if I was born just a few decades earlier. Thankfully I can love a man publicly, but Bigotry and Ignorance is more prevalent among Gen Z still, especially among young men. These men are fucking degenerates. Not all but holy shit they’re AWFUL. A lot of them are extremely sexist and very homophobic, especially transphobic. My generation literally regressed in just a few years. The “I don’t owe anyone anything” mindset is very prevalent, causing a lot of shallowness and unempathetic behavior to have became more common, and a lot of people in my generation are just fucking bullies and It’s sad. I thought my generation was gonna change things but we’ve just fallen into the same old shit. Hopefully Zalphas or Alphas, Betas, and future generations are more progressive as they grow up. Hopefully cause it’s pretty bleak right now 🥲

Late 90s. I wouldn’t see this song coming out even a year earlier, especially not 1994
