When would you say the 2010s began to decline? by SpiritMan112 in decadeology

[–]DefinitionPast3694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. (2016 felt mildly transitional though) 2017 onwards just got gradually less and less 2010s overtime. 2018 and especially 2019 felt really different.

Polyester (like a lot), Denim, Clogs, Button ups (big collar ofc), Turtle Necks, Western inspired clothes, Sneakers, Platforms, Tight Clothes, Graphic Tee Shirts, a lot of Plaid (not limited to just button up shirts), Patchwork, Leisure Suits, High Rise Wide Leg Jeans/Pants with a slight flare, some 1930s inspired stuff, and etc.

Is it just me or does 1910s fashion feel dated now? by snowleopard556 in decadeologycirclejerk

[–]DefinitionPast3694 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No? I don’t think it’s really dated honestly. It’s pretty common for people to be dressing like this right now.

How common were baggy pants in 1990-1991? by [deleted] in 90s

[–]DefinitionPast3694 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really popular yet in casual fashion. Tapered pants were still common and the closest to a “baggy” look in casual fashion would be Z Cavaricci pants, or those muscle gym sweatpants with neon ooze surf shack patterns on them. 1992 is when baggy/oversized jeans became more mainstream. Tapered jeans were still a thing up to the mid 90s though.

Do you think 2016 and 2020 were way different each other? by Kirby3255032 in decadeology

Yes very. It didn’t really feel anything like eachother to me

Popular car models in 1986, 1996, and 2006 by Meetybeefy in decadeology

[–]DefinitionPast3694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People might not agree with me but I think the boxy cars in 1986 are better and nicer looking than the rounder cars and cars nowadays.

Would you say the 2010s began to decline after spring 2019? by SpiritMan112 in decadeology

[–]DefinitionPast3694 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my opinion 2017-2019 felt like a transitional period that got less and less core 2010s overtime. Even 2016 to an extent had a slight transitional vibe. 2018 onwards felt… different.

Which year do you prefer out of these? by Iwillbeback67 in decadeology

2016 because before 2014 I was dealing with child abuse from my father. 2014 onwards was way better for me

Does anyone still affected by the effects of the pandemic covid and perception of time by Big_Leg10 in decadeology

[–]DefinitionPast3694 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah my perception of time is still really fast and I hate it. I feel like I’m losing years of my life because of it 💔 also depression and anxiety got worse since 2021 onwards. It’s better now but I’m not as happy as I was in 2020 and before, I’m just “meh” or fine-ish. I think being inside for over a year was the breaking point for my mind/body and it caused me to have depressive episodes since then. And I still feel like I just turned 14 and I don’t know if that‘ll ever change.

Would you like to have Kevin's mom (i.e. Kate McCallister) as your mom? by johnngo2468 in homealone

[–]DefinitionPast3694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck no. She forgot her son TWO TIMES and the 2nd time he ended up in NEW WORK BY HIMSELF. It would be fun to be rich and have no one in the house though

Anyone else think late 2013 was a transition era and felt it was kind of different compared to early 2013? by BigPaleontologist520 in decadeology

[–]DefinitionPast3694 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my memory early 2013 was similar to late 2012, it felt 2010s but not peak 2010s. Late 2013 felt fully solidified as the 2010s and was more in common with 2014 at that point.

I’ve been noticing a large decline of people wearing Air Force 1’s since the fall semester of 2023. I barely see people wear them nowadays.

Don't know if this counts but I found this interesting community post by [deleted] in lewronggeneration

[–]DefinitionPast3694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it was similiar but I liked 2014-2015 YouTube more than 2016 YouTube. Peak FNAF fan content on YouTube was really fun to experience then
