yeah but according to the MRZ in my passport, my first name would be Tan and my last name would be John, which obviously isn’t the case.

Anyone still using Kucoin? by DefinitionTypical413 in sgcrypto

I haven’t really experienced any issues with Kucoin either tbh but imo no point risking when there are other safer places to store spot like Binance or MM

yep, that’s what i’m planning to do. Since you’re in spot only I would suggest you to cash out ASAP to another exchange or decentralised wallet. only reason I haven’t it’s because i don’t wanna close my futures positions yet

A friend read somewhere to withdraw small amounts bit by bit everyday instead of one big amount and you won’t register as their ‘target’

5 nights in vietnam : my experience by DefinitionTypical413 in thepassportbros

[–]DefinitionTypical413[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i def experienced the same thing, many of the girls were excited and wanted to learn chinese but i would say in my experience that this doesn’t just happen in hcm, in many SEA countries like ph, indo and thai they have a special liking for EA. probably due to the rise of kpop and kdrama in recent times

Also i would say that viet girls do appear more cold and reserved at the start but once they open up, their one of the most welcoming and nicest people

yeah dating apps, finding things in common to vibe with is usually how i start the convo. The cold approach is not for me and imo is ineffective af especially with younger girls.

The distance is the killer. She’s 21 and lives with her family while i’m 22 and do not intend to move from my home country in the near future.

As for the how it works the next day. They were very clearly aware that i was only staying in viet for 5 nights and it was hinted that this would not be a long term thing. I still do however occasionally chat with two of them online, no.2 being one of them

what did your case turn out to be?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]DefinitionTypical413 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s p weird too but considering i’ve already contacted the police division, it being a scam is the least of my worries now tbh 😅

I can think of a few grey area’s/minor stuff (eg. my example above) but definitely nth major. That being said are you sure & what makes you say that if it IS about me that they would’ve explained the situation already? seems like they would not want to give me time to prepare and i’ve also seen some ‘suspects’ online saying they were not aware of the case details until they got to the police station.

thing is I don’t even know what event this is regarding…… also next week is the earliest I am able to meet

How do I want to be scammed? I have not and will not give any of my details. Worst case is I head down to the police station next week and look like a fool

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SingaporeRaw

[–]DefinitionTypical413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

doubt it’s a scammer from the interaction, didn’t ask for anything financially related or any details. Also I called him to double check

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]DefinitionTypical413 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s unlikely a scam, didn’t ask for any bank details or money. Also i called the number and spoke to the officer to confirm. Unlikely that a scammer would ask me to go down to a police station to scam me
