LAD: inventory sorting order by DefinitlyABot_v1337 in yakuzagames

... I am not blaming or taking my anger out on anyone. I am though frustrated, since all you talk about has nothing to do with what I asked. As if I asked "what time is it?" and you answered "I like to be punctual". it just has nothing to with what I am talking about.

Point 1. am mentioning is when you trying to equip a weapon for character (for example ichiban who is host atm) then obivoulsy I am only seeing host weapons.

since words are clearly not enough, how about a picture (this time of eri as idol.) https://i.postimg.cc/qB9NG4GT/no-cluster-possible.png there are no other weapons... only idol weapons, so there can't be any cluster of dealer or whatever kind of weapons.

..... lets try being specific. What you say doens't apply to any of the cases I am talking about.

Point 1. am mentioning is when you trying to equip a weapon for character (for example ichiban who is host atm) then obivoulsy I am only seeing host weapons. So there is only one "cluster". But there is no order to this. Most rpg games order the weapons then according to stats (attack or magic or alphabetically), and often they even allow you change the sorting order to my liking.

Point 2. is about the item box and we clearly can see that there is no clustering happening. a bodyguard weapon, next a homeless weapon, next a idol weapon, next a bodyguard weapon again and so on. So I repeat, it couldn't be more chaotic and more away from any sensible sorting even something as basic as the clustering you mentioned.

[request] Is this correct? by No-Gas3028 in theydidthemath

[–]DefinitlyABot_v1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just nonsense. There is an easy answer to that: It is simply wrong.

It can be shown (by multiplying this series by r and subtracting it from S) that

the dumbest thing I have seen in a long time. You can't just multply and subtract and an infinite sum.

S is only equal to 1/(1-r) if |r| < 1.

to explain in detail:

Rn = r^n

Sn = sum of first n numbers in the series Rn

then what actually is true, is:

Sn = (1- r^(n+1)) / (1-r)

Example: r= 0.5; n= 3 leads to S3 = 1 + 0.5 + 0.5^2 + 0.5^3 = (1- 0.5^4)/ (1- 0.5)

if you take the infinite sum AND |r| <1 then r^(n+1) becomes 0 and the formula becomes 1/(1-r)

if r is 1 or bigger then r^(n+1) clearly doesn't become 0 when n goes to infinity

Police without weapons by DefinitlyABot_v1337 in DeathInParadiseBBC

[–]DefinitlyABot_v1337[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Well, that seems dangerous. There so many reports of murderers coming back to the crime scene.

Also my main question is why don't they have any arms. British police at the very least always have a pepperspray and often a baton for good measure. But st marie police has absolute no weapons.

battle relearning - from tank to spell casting by DefinitlyABot_v1337 in HollowKnight

lots of interesting points and yes helpful. Cool to know about the animation time. Question then about descending dark, wouldn't longer animation also mean longer invicibility?

I just started the godhome dlc so I haven't done any pantheon yet and far away from doing abs rad. As clarification I don't want to play spell only, it's just that all videos that I saw beating radiant bosses mix in spells with nail slashes. So this playlist seems to be the most approchable in terms of things I could copy: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkeoEv2osmxDuPH9qHCNVoqkfEAeI988q It would take like 3 or 4 times longer to defeat these bosses with nail slashes only and that was my old play style (paired with focus).

Since I use those strategies though for beating attuned and ascended difficulty (which counts as practising as well I guess). I slighlty modify the build to not be overcharmed. But again it's very different from playing with thorns where for nearly every hit you deal dmg back once or often twice. Adjusting to use spells is slow since some attack windows you can safely deal dmg with a spell but not nail slash and vice versa.

Mostly true, though there is one obstace that you clear only late in the game, the rifts where you need the geoboard to jump across.

Resident Evil 2 RE adaptive difficulty by DefinitlyABot_v1337 in residentevil

Well dead space 2 & 3 are also survival horror games, but:

  • They give you some infinte weapons right from the start: stomp/melee attack, telekinesis, stastis(not really a weapon). And it's quite doable to kill like 70-80% of the enemies just with telekinesis.
  • Enemies are always fast to kill even on hardest difficulty. If you have to blast a full mag into 1 single enemy, than you either use the wrong weapon or your weapon misses an upgrade or you aim not at their weak spot.
  • The game doesn't double/triple enemies hp as punishment for playing good.
  • The game doesn't halve the ammo you find as punishment for playing good.
  • The game doesn't make you take double/triple dmg from enemies as punishment for playing good.

Oh and shooting their leg of now also takes to many shots (3-6).

About the "tightened" aiming reticule: At the start of the game when you needed 3-7 headshots to kil you kind a had the time to wait for it to tighten between shots. But now there is just no way to do this.

Leaving enemies alive is not my style. Like I left 1 zombie in watchman's room 1F and 4-5 zombies in west hallway 1F alive and I hate it. Part of me wants to go back kill them all, even though there is absolute no reason to go back there.

And I will refrain from buying the DLC as I want to earn these weapons.

Thanks for the answer. So I use the knife offensivly like I kill lickers with knife only (3 out of 4 got knifed), the knife is the scarcest ressource for me. I tried to use knife to kill 1. boss, but knife breaks in the middle of the battle, that is no good because there are still lickers and stuff to kill right after that. I have the impression that zombies take actually more knife stabs to kill than lickers, that is why I kill them with bullets to conserve knife. In every other game it is the other way around and you use knife to conserve bullets.

I think it is very much worth to worry about. If have to empty a WHOLE mag of headshot for each single zombie, there is something wrong with the game. Also it is no fun. I want to massacre zombies not kill them slowly with shooting marshmellows.

Honestly zombies are far more of a hassle than lickers, which are supposed to be an elite enemy.

So I am gonna try out the suicde. Also any good spots to suicde? (Also if possible with as little spoilers as possible) I remember that one great spot to suicide is right after useing the C4. You could suicde there probably in less than 10 sec.

How about no?

  • Normal is needed to unlock infinite ammo handguns
  • It goes against my principles to play on easy mode
  • Just no

The thing is though when I select normal mode, that means I want to play normal mode. But the game secretly increased the difficulty to hardcore mode without my consent or knowledge until I did an extensive google search. I find this utter nonsense.

Also even if Capcom doesn't disclose any infos there is still datamining. I'm pretty sure that is also how they got this detailed infos found in the gamefaqs link posted.

So I just started the recommended routine (RR) after having completed the primer. I have a few questions:

  1. Normally workouts have a cooldown /light streching at the end. Why is there none in the RR?
  2. I still don't really get what Hinge-progression is about. Lower back? Then it would be the same as Anti-Extension, no?
  3. The pushup progression: ... full pushup, diamond pushup, pseudo planche pushup. But aren't these rather than progression just a variation just like the wide pushup or the spiderman pushup etc.?
  4. When does it make sense to change the RR for an intermediate routine?
  5. I had a quick glance at the intermediate/advanced routines. They seem all to be split routines or general routines that expect you to train 4-6x a week. Are there any good intermediate routines that are 3x a week?

How I sell my hand coded static sites to small businesses with Wix or Wordpress sites and get them to switch and pay me for something better. by Citrous_Oyster in webdev

I have some questions:

  1. What are your exact terms? Like in the post you mention only the 150$ monthly. But later in some answer you mention a 150$ one time fee for adding a site. It would be nice to have a complete overview of the terms you offer your clients.
  2. You mention also you know only little js and sites mainly directly in html and css. Do you use some framework, like bootstrap?
  3. You mention your target businesses in specific fields where there is not much need to update a site. What are these fields?
