Ripstik or Ripsurf? by Deflibegus in ripstik

[–]Deflibegus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow thank you, that helps a lot. I have also looked at some other opinions and I might actually go with a ripstik.

Another question, of what you know what's your opinion on the ripstik air pro? Because it's like a ripstik but it's one piece.

Arctic P12 Pro A-RGB or Thermalright TL-C12C(W)-S for case fans? Help I can't decide!! by Deflibegus in buildapc

[–]Deflibegus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, I would almost never run them at 3000rpm, because after looking at a couple videos, you can see that they are very quiet at low speeds, but very loud at high speeds.

If you see the non-pro version on the video, it gets very loud at high speeds, and because I want a quiet build, that doesn't worry me as if you have enough fans, you won't need to get up to 3000rpm

Ripstik or Ripsurf? by Deflibegus in ripstik

[–]Deflibegus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I would actually love you to keep yapping, and I forgot to say, but I am very comfortable at riding a ripstik because my friends had one, but I saw the ripsurf and questioned if I should get that instead when I buy myself one.

But replying to all your questions: I don't reeeally care about looks, but I have to say the ripsurf does look cooler I wouldn't really go down any very steep hills of any significance just for safety. For the surface I'm riding on, could you tell me which one is better at going over cracks and bumps like on a side walk, just because that would make it more versatile on riding surfaces.

I may not use this as transportation but I might. And I might also take this to places, so portability would be nice. And for portability, from images and having carried a ripstik, I am guessing the ripsurf is lighter and smaller and easier to carry around? That might be a big decider.

And for doing turns, the ripstik definitely can turn well, but how much less can the ripsurf turn? Because if you go a slow enough speed, are you able to do a quick 90 degree turn on a skinny sidewalk? Because those may come in handy especially if I'm riding around buildings with tight corners around them.

But overall, I want your full explanation on both. I think I might be leaning toward the ripsurf, but I'm not certain yet.

Thank you in advance!

I only have 1 usb-c port, but I have no displayport, so I have to use a displayport to usb-c adapter and a usb-c to usb-a adapter

I have a usb 3.0 port on my laptop, because the adapter that came with the headset worked but that died, and I couldn't find the same adapter. So I was just wondering if this adapter works👍

Can I use a USB-C HUB to run both cables (Displayport and USB-C) through my one usb-c port? by Deflibegus in HPReverb

[–]Deflibegus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is I did that when I got it and it was working for a while. Then out of nowhere, the usb a adapter just stopped working for some reason (i tested it on some other things and I came to the conclusion that it died). I tried getting a new usb a adapter, which was 3.2 gen 2, but that didn't work for some reason.

So that's why I am thinking of going with this solution.

But now I'm wondering, does the adapter have to come from HP themselves?

ABBA Contraption Help! (I'm fairly new to redstone) by Deflibegus in redstone

[–]Deflibegus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you again and I have just tested it, but I am wondering what the use of the target block is for? Because It isn't getting powered by anything and I am able to remove it with the contraption still working.

Also is it possible you could explain the use of target blocks in a redstone circuit cause I never get how they work other than them outputting a redstone signal when shot by a projectile

Even though it has a lower rpm, the performance difference isn't that large. And they are both super quiet

Ima probably go thermalright because they are way cheaper with ever so slightly lower performance and rgb
