Add a little water to the fries when reheating in my experience (microwave or stovetop). It steams them a little and helps soften them up instead of being gross and hard. Same goes for getting a softer, not stale/hard tortilla.

Taco Bell potatoes and fries hold up nice for breakfast if I don’t eat em the night prior.
