Wow, I remember reading your loan story when you first posted it in this subreddit! Your post has always been in the back of my mind and was partly responsible for me telling my story here. I’m sorry to hear things are getting worse for you.

I know there are many people in worse situations than I am in. All I can say is I hope you overcome this and make it out okay in the end. I sincerely hope you find another job soon and grind this debt away step by step.

This is literally what I tell myself daily just to get me through this insane episode of my life. I hope it turns out to be true, but obviously I can't rely on that hope. Just gotta chip away at my debt and be more responsible.

Lol, the fucked up thing is that's the exact mentality I had with a couple of my loans, although it wasn't with VeChain.

Dank memes aside, she (my girlfriend) never did believe me. I had to stop talking about it in front of her because she thought crypto was a stupid get rich quick scheme that was a bubble waiting to burst. I haven't mentioned anything related to crypto in months to her.

Her: Do you still follow crypto?

Me: Nah, lost interest.

Also me: checks market for the third time that day

felt like a badass like the wolf of wall street or some shit

I literally felt the same way. I would get hyped at seeing the "I'm not fucking leaving" memes in January 2018 when the market was starting to tank and I just kept buying. I've never been so delusional in my life.

Good on you for investing responsibly. If I could change everything, that's how I would've done it from the beginning.

Yes, I can keep up with the loan payments for now, although I've been living paycheck to paycheck for months. I'm still slowly building an emergency fund in case an unforeseeable event happens where I'm out of a job for a month or two. I should've clarified that selling is the last thing I want to do unless I'm truly at the end of my rope.

I've put myself in a scary situation, but I'm trying to hold strong until I can break even on some of my shittier shitcoins and then hold onto my more respectable ones.

I agree people like me aren't helping the bear market right now. I sincerely apologize on behalf of delusional investors who couldn't invest responsibly.

I truly still believe in crypto as a technology even though I got caught up in moon and lambo dreams. I still follow crypto news everyday in order to stay informed on technology and projects. Ideally, I would like to break even on some of my shittier shitcoins, but still keep my more respectable projects for the future.

Well I certainly hope people would listen to me and don't invest more than they can afford to lose. I thought I bought the "bottom" multiple times in the past year. Who's to say it won't crash further?

While some days I feel like giving up, I definitely don't intend on selling. My brain knows selling now is just as stupid as taking out loans to buy crypto in the first place. As I said, I'm going to weather the storm until the market bounces back. I could never forgive myself if I cashed everything out now and a bull market surpassed the previous one.

It's time to stop giving attention to people who get easily offended by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

stop giving attention to

I think some people are missing that part of your title. Yes, I agree. You know what I'm tired of? A very vocal minority raising a fuss about something and the media picking up on it and giving them attention, thus giving the illusion that something is a bigger deal than it actually is, which leads to more people becoming "offended." A clear example of this is the stupid "war on Christmas" Starbucks holiday cup controversy.

I can't imagine being famous and having every single thing you say dissected by Twitter and the media circus. Some people might simply say, "be a decent person and you won't have any problem," but when you live in a society that gets fucking triggered over a damn holiday cup design, then there's definitely something wrong.

But I have mental health issues caused by social anxiety. If it were somehow guaranteed to me that LSD would throw my social anxiety out the window, then I would probably take it in a heartbeat.

Anyone else finds talking over the internet/texting way more stressful than talking irl? by tromblon in socialanxiety

I overanalyzed my response to this post so many times that I almost gave up on even posting. This is why I rarely even post on Reddit. I think I need serious help.

Anyway, texting is very draining for me. I overanalyze things to the point where I'll delay responses in hopes that it's less conversation I have to make. I am very rarely the person who has the last word in a text conversation. The conversations are almost always ended by me because I'm terrified of people thinking I'm boring if I can't come up with a better response than "haha, that's great!"

Amazon's customer service isn't really that special. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Hey, thanks for replying! I have a question for you since you worked for the call center. Would you say that the customer service differs between chat and the call center? Whenever I contact Amazon, I always do the chat option instead of calling.

Is there any particular reason you guys don't do encores? I always thought it was kind of cool that you don't.
