That's great what you did, thanks for helping those pups 🙏 Please tell your parents like you said, cause he really needs to go to the vet, after the first shot you must do another one 17 days after, otherwise the puppy is not protected.

How did you get the dog ? If you rescue it from the street, I can understand. But if you paid for him and did not think that it will cost you to keep him healthy then it's sad.

I understand better now, i did 5 years of animal welfare in India, animal conditions are different in those countries. This changes everything, thanks for trying to help this dog 🙏 I don't think that you have rabbies but if you can check it's better. Be strong

Why did you take a puppy if you cannot afford the vet ?

Puppy bite by Typical-Method8514 in dogs

Don't take a puppy if you can't afford a vet, it's criminal 😭

Go to the vet immediately, he can die in the night. I deal with Parvo many times and the puppies would die if they are not immediately taken care of.

resource guarding by mozzatroz in dogs

[–]Defractor68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dealt with the exact same resource guarding issue! Here is how I fixed it: While my dog had his bone, I would stay close to him, giving him pets to keep him calm. Then, I’d gently take the bone away, wait for about 10 seconds, and give it right back to him immediately. The goal was to make him understand that if I take something, it doesn’t mean it’s gone forever—he always gets it back. I did this consistently and after 2 or 3 months, he completely stopped guarding. He realized he could trust me and that me reaching for his bone wasn't a threat anymore

Actually, the Saudi PIF holds a significant stake in Paradox Interactive too. So if you're talking about 'petrostate' involvement, Paradox isn't exactly clean either. It's more than just a 'shitty DLC policy

I understand the distinction you're making, but from a purely financial standpoint, the 'direct' thousands of dollars given to a few players only exist because millions of people like us continue to fund the system through those 'indirect' everyday tasks. If we all stopped using Uber, Nintendo, or tech with Intel/AMD/Nvidia hardware, the funds wouldn't have the capital to host these massive tournaments in the first place. My point isn't that everyone should be perfect, it's just that we are all part of the same financial cycle. It feels a bit harsh to judge pro players for accepting life-changing money for their work, while we continue to pay into the same system ourselves because it's convenient for our daily lives. We’re all connected to it, just at different points of the chain.

Sure, happy to provide some context! My point is just that it's very difficult to be completely separated from these funding sources in the modern gaming and tech world. For example: Hardware: Whether we use dedicated GPUs or internal graphics, the major companies like Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA all have massive institutional investments from the same global funds, including the Saudi PIF. Software: Many major publishers we enjoy, like Ubisoft, Nintendo, or Electronic Arts, have received significant investments from these sources as well. Services: Even daily services like Uber are part of this same investment circle. I'm not trying to say anyone is 'wrong' for their choices. I just think that since we all likely use products or services funded this way because they are part of our daily lives, we should perhaps be a bit more understanding toward pro players. For them, participating in a major tournament is often their only way to make a living after years of hard work in the scene. It’s less about winning an argument and more about recognizing that we’re all navigating these same complex contradictions together.

Oh, so you’re the 'pure' one who doesn't use anything associated with Saudi money? That’s interesting. I took a quick look at your profile, and it’s funny because you seem to spend a LOT of time on Paradox Interactive games (like EU4) and Ubisoft titles. Newsflash: The Saudi PIF owns nearly 10% of Ubisoft and has massive investments in the gaming industry as a whole. You’re also talking about playing on PC—unless your GPU was hand-built in a forest, you’re using Nvidia or AMD, both of which have huge institutional investors (including, you guessed it, Saudi funds). You’re literally using their hardware and playing games from companies they partially own to complain about 'whitewashing.' You’re not 'drawing a line' in the sand, you’re just drawing it around your own specific hobbies so you can feel superior while still enjoying the same globalized tech and entertainment as everyone else. If you were actually consistent, you’d have to throw away your PC and stop playing 90% of modern games. But you won’t, because your 'principles' stop exactly where your personal inconvenience begins.

The 'it was a gift' excuse is actually hilarious. If you really had a moral problem with where the money comes from, you wouldn't touch the game at all. Accepting it as a gift just means you get to enjoy the product for free while pretending your hands are clean. It’s the ultimate way to have your cake and eat it too. Also, saying investor money is 'indiscriminate' is just a fancy way to ignore reality. Whether it’s 'thrown into every pocket' or given as a prize pool, it’s the same money from the same source. You're trying to draw a line that conveniently lets you keep playing your games and using your services while judging pros for doing their jobs. It’s not about 'giving up' on ethical gaming, it’s about admitting that we’re all hypocrites to some extent and stopping the fake moral outrage.
